It doesn't feel as stringent as last time. Last year my boys were in bubbles of 8 and 7 in their school. This time around, with the change to only needing one key worker parent and an extension in what classified as a key worker they're in classes of 22 and 24. When my parents went to school that was about the average class size normally...

The head teacher sent an email pleading for people to consider is there was any chance for alternative arrangements, he says 84 percent of pupils in the school qualify to still go in under the current guidelines. Lock down #2 : this time it's half-hearted

Gonna get some overtime in over the next month or so booking in people for vaccines. May as well earn some extra dough while can't do tuck all. Be nice to be paid for some extra hours too.

Hunt for fake vaccine fraudster who injected woman, 92, in Surbiton

A fraudster claiming to work for the NHS injected a 92-year-old woman with a fake Covid-19 vaccine, City of London Police has said.

Detectives are hunting the man who charged the victim in Surbiton, south-west London, £160.

Police said it was "crucial" he was caught as soon as possible as he "may endanger people's lives".

Det Insp Kevin Ives described it as a "disgusting and totally unacceptable assault".

Yes, lockdown one my daughter was in a class with eight others from Years 3, 4, 5, 6. It went up to 15 by May. Doctors, nurses weren't sending their kids to school

This time her Year 6 key worker class is eight strong already, the Year 5 class is 15

That's not too bad to be honest. My boys classes had 23 and 24 in them yesterday. I also find it amusing the narrative that schools are "closed", that's really not closed. Some of the parents are complaining about not having online lessons, I'm not entirely sure how their teachers would do that whilst also looking after 24 7-year-olds, whilst the Mail tells us they're at home with their feet up.

I'm lucky I'm a secondary school teacher as primaries have been sold down the river. The news that around 50 percent of pupils are still in school. Consider how many kids 14+ are likely to be in ( almost none), and therefore what percentage it must be for the younger ones. I also feel for all the parents who are trying to work at home with their kids, I did that last lock down (badly and mostly in the evenings) having to see that everyone else seems to just be sending their kids in.

Good to see a third vaccine approved. Reckon there's a chance of decent crowds for the Euros.
