Very few places have mate except in enclosed office spaces.Have you not had to prior to now?
Yep and they only found out a few days ago that the transmission rate is higher hence the changes in rules. It was since September but the scientists didn't have enough knowledge at that stage of the first transmission. It took them until October to identify it. Whether that was another strain I can't say either way, but I'm under the impression it's the strain we are all panicking over now.

Strain this, strain that. Nowt we can do really, is there? It was since September but the scientists didn't have enough knowledge at that stage of the first transmission. Not according to the actual experts. Were a tiny island, it's a new strain (not a mutation). It got here from somewhere like the first one did so a bit late for the mainland to cut us off now![]()

In my job mate i visit many warehouse sites each week and none make it compulsory.Thought the guidance changed to any shared indoor space a few months back. A pal of mine does the same job and has had to for ages.

Nick Loman, professor of microbial genomics and bioinformation at the University of Birmingham, told a briefing by the Science Media Centre on 15 December that the variant was first spotted in late September and now accounts for 20% of viruses sequenced in Norfolk, 10% in Essex, and 3% in Suffolk. “There are no data to suggest it had been imported from abroad, so it is likely to have evolved in the UK,” he said.

I've read it was found in september also mate.Taken from the British Medical Journal as it goes. As I read about it earlier when I saw a tweet about the name the authorities gave it. Which includes the date they named it - 1st December.

Yeah they did mate, but it wasn’t verified as a new strain until October. BUT they knew about how this strain spreads much quicker at least 2 weeks ago.I've read it was found in september also mate.
