Maybe, but I don't think they should be, not under Tier 4 conditions, seems a bit unfair otherwise, as they will come in contact with players, stewards etc from Tier 4 areas. especially if this new strain of the virus is more transmissible.

Edit: and considering more players are going down with covid now.

I agree that they shouldn't, but think they will be.

Might be an issue in EFL where testing isn't mandated.

Christmas cancelled for London and the SE.

That’ll go down well.

On Wednesday the BBC political lead (laura kuenssberg) asked why they were not changing the rules about 3 households mixing and the 5 day rule and Johnson said that "we are not going to ban Christmas" which was a plainly stupid answer ... so presumably (in his ****ed up head) he has now banned xmas.

Shira law imposed by the Tories :bandit:

This decision was always going to have to happen ... you did not need hindsight to see this.

To wait until 6 days before xmas after weeks of saying it'll be ok is ****ing incompetent imho

As @Chief mentioned the other day this has been driven by the media throughout.

A decision never should have been taken on this as far back as it was.

I was saying during the October half-term (when the 2nd lockdown happened) that they should have just said the rules would remain re no households mixing and then in late spring or early summer (when the vaccinations have kicked in) the Government will give everyone 3 bank holidays and we can all meet up then.

Seems to me that the medical experts were ignored until this week.

Exactly, why the **** did they come out with that statement so early?
Why can't they just deal with this like other more sensible and well run European countries and not have it played out in the media?

The opposition leader, Sir utter **** face or whatever the insignificant prick is called, in isoloation, yet still being filmed saying exactly what he would in parliament.

As in, this is wrong, I'd do it differently. How convenient.

How does that help anything?

Right at the start it was; when are we going in lockdown? when are we going in lockdown? when are we going in lockdown? when are we going in lockdown?

We go into lockdown.

So then it's; what's the lockdown exit strategy? what's the lockdown exit strategy? what's the lockdown exit strategy? what's the lockdown exit strategy?

So we come out of lockdown.

Then it's; when are you closing schools? when are you closing schools? when are you closing schools? when are you closing schools?

So they close the schools.

So it's; when are schools opening? when are schools opening? when are schools opening? when are schools opening?

So they open the schools back up.

Just ****ing govern.

**** the media, you do it, you useless sacks of ****ing ****e, you.

Govern, ****ing sort it.

Just a quick reminder, this useless shower of ****e were literally threatening legal action against 2 London Borough councils who’d chosen to shut their schools 4 days early in order to leave a week’s gap before the Christmas hiatus and due to increased perceived risk, this happened as long ago as last ****ing week.

The problem with this from both sides, Conservative and Labour it's become a political ball, even though both sides would deny that. Whether it be a Tory or Labour MP, whether it be leftie, rightie, middle of the road, you know exactly what they are going to say before they even open their mouths.

Even our own media reporters are dissecting the decisions within Downing Street, while SKY's own reporters were all suspended after breaking the rules receently, non other than Kay Burley, Beth Rigby and Inzaman Rushid, maybe they were confused by the very rules they had been dissecting since March.

We all knew about this new strain of the virus, didn't we?

There's no rocket science behind any of this, we are in the shhite economically and medically, but the ball is still being kicked about, he's to blame, fat boy in number 10, is he, is he really....like I say it's never been about the virus, it's all about left v right.

I watched Andy Burnham on TV yesterday, after the failings of Manchester Police, he said it was down to him to hold them to account. Well maybe if he spent the same amount of attention as he gave to media air time recently....but, again, another political ball.

Everyone looking to point the finger, because of one word, Tory!

Well yeah

Succinctly, it's been made a political **** throwing match in Britain throughout, where by it should actually be a massive world wide health crisis.

(like more or less everyone bar us and the good old USA has treated it)

Which has been the case since day dot.

We genuinly need a seperate governing body to deal with pandemics that does not involve politics, how the hell we manage that though, I haven't any idea at all.
