Plenty of leaks about London going into tier three pretty much immediately because these things have to be tested on social media via preferred journalists before making a decision.

Just stick the country in Tier 3 until March when the most vulnerable will have had their jabs, then Tier 1 or 2 until everybody else has been vaccinated.

London going to move into Tier 3 as from Wednesday. It should have always have been in Tier 3, I believe the reason that never happened was due to self interest, either of the economy (City spending) or the convenience of locally placed politicians.

Or due to not wanting to **** the economy of the capital city. Which is reasonable imo, you have to try to balance people's livelihoods with people's health.

I don't disagree with that mate, but as one publican said, what is he now supposed to do with all the supplies he has bought on the understanding they were in Tier 2. I see that has having a greater impact, then if they had been left in Tier 3.

20 years ago, I could have helped him with that :bandit:

Absolute nightmare for publicans and restaurant owners, and their staff. And if they're in central London, they've had no passing trade for months anyway.

I don't know what the answer is tbh. Let's just hope that come the spring, we can all get back to our lives.

I agree entirely mate.

Any chance you can get the GC lot to fook Pete off, so I can use my ban hammer on him. I'm not expecting a response. <cheers>

Serious question can someone explain this to me.

We have a warning from Matt Hancock that the rate of infection is going up dramatically in various parts of the country, London is poised to go into Tier 3. But we're still having the 5 day break next week for 3 households to get together.

Am I missing something here?
