Just watching the news.

Cummings is goings?
I’ll believe when I see it, but it sounds like the Cummings Govt days are coming to an end as the actual Tories seek to regain No.10.

Plenty going on it seems, Frost could go, cue: botched last minute skeleton EU trade deal to avoid total chaos. It’s brewing.

I just get an image of anarchy in there as I expect Cummings erratic style vs the traditional Tory faithful must've caused untold chaos.

Still feels like it's come out the blue though.

Boris and Cummings should walk off into the sunset never to be seen again
They have been a disaster for Britain and the Tory party
New PM and cabinet and a proper attempt to work with the opposition parties to solve the current crisis

Has it? Starmer raised the question of the bent PPE contacts in PMQ’s today, the publicly funded lawsuit on the subject is not far away from reaching its funding level. Johnson need some scapegoats for a whole manner of **** ups, clearing out Cummings and Co provides a cover of sorts and gets the Tory establishment off Johnson’s back - for now. If Cummings goes I’d wager it’ll be a faux resignation with a massive pay out to keep his gob shut.

Why would he need a payoff to keep his mouth shut?
I thought he was the mastermind behind everything that's happened in the last two years so it would be in his best interest to keep his mouth shut

Really? He knows literally everything, and he’s a non elected SPAD, he could blow the lid off the entire ****show with a serialised book to monetise his expose or merely a series of anonymous leaks to his WhatsApp group of senior journos. Johnson would need him to go with a cast iron clad confidentiality clause & that’d take a huge cheque.

Or they could take him for a car ride in a Paris subway

Of course he knows everything, i have been told for the last two years he has planned everything <doh>

That’s because he has <laugh>

Johnson brought him in to do his thinking for him, as that was too much like hard work.

And I think herein lies the problem. Because whilst Cummings can do the thinking for Boris, he's a law unto himself and absolutely **** at public relations or taking any considered view on things. Which is why the government are getting spit-roasted on pretty much everything.

Why have you assumed that he’d provide incriminating evidence of criminal wrong doing?
I didn't, i was questioning your assertion

Exactly. The man is maverick lunatic. His ‘genius’ exists only in his own mind and the handful of clueless bobble heads who anointed him. He’s a glorified PR bloke with a penchant for 3 word slogans. Since he became part of the Govt machine he’s advised Johnson to remove any dissenting voice, and has set about creating his ‘super hero analyst’ replacement of key civil servants fantasy.

Funny thing is, getting rid of him may be the best thing Boris has done since taking office. Certainly for the Tory party to become more effective in power. And I never thought I'd see the day where I say this, but actually less nasty <laugh>

How much do you think it will cost for him to keep his mouth shut about his own decisions :bandit:

<laugh> Sorry Trebs, just poking fun.
