Even when I try be civil, you're still a toxic little toad Tobes, a tiny small man. Being shown to be wrong brings out the worst in you
Here we go <laugh>

‘Proved’ wrong about what exactly? As it isn’t here mate.

You got an answer to my simple question yet?

Thought not.

WHO estimates 800 million cases globally (two week old estimation)
Deaths 1.3? million

That's what around 0.08% fatality and 90%+ of those had co morbities and were very old

Of course that means **** all to someone who loses a family member, yet we cant manage the world from the perspective of an individual who lost a loved one.

Comorbidities are irrelevant in terms of policy. Pretending those cases somehow don't count or were acceptable is nonsense. The vast majority of humans have comorbidities.

Some covid comorbidities;
  • hypertension - about 30% of the population have this
  • cardiovascular disease - 2.3 million confirmed UK cases
  • diabetes - 6% of the UK population
  • respiratory disease - 20% of the UK population

8 million alone have asthma.

Ah! The evil landlords, wanting their rent so they can pay their mortgages.......bastards.
He was talking about commercial landlords, who want people back in the office irrespective of risk as them working from home - and it sticking - affects the value of their assets and future rental potential.

In which post do you explain achieving herd immunity without millions of people dying?

The whole point of a vaccine is to achieve herd immunity. The only way the virus gets “defeated” is through herd immunity, the purpose of a vaccine is simply to accelerate that process.

While we wait for that to happen, medical science will find other treatments of varied effectiveness. In the meantime, every country has to find a way of living with the virus.

As for millions of people dying, there are currently 7.5 billion people living on the planet, and every single one of them - of us - will die. It’s how we live that matters.

In the words of Josey Wales, dying aint much of a living.

Not all of those will be at increased risk mind.
Is right, I think it’s only those classed as severe who are classed as being high risk & I’ve no idea what percentage that is of the total. But they’d all be classed as having a co-morbidity if they succumbed to COVID.

No idea on the percentage but I think it's largely based on whether you've had recent hospital admissions due to it or not.

Work classed me at increased risk when it first kicked off, but after a couple months of treating patients down graded and said I wasn't.

A simple no would have sufficed.

All in the same situation, lockdowns and curfews hoping it either goes away or we get a vaccine.

No one has it sorted and it matters not one **** whether the tories are in or not, labour wouldn't have sorted it either.
