Shoppers made two million fewer trips to the supermarket than expected in the week after face mask rules came into force, according to latest industry figures.
Anyone does less shopping, or maybe doing it all in few goes?
Sure i read earlier something like 13% of sales are now done online....that's a massive chunk...Everything online now. Including food shop.

they are a nightmare for people who wear glasses..Usually can't see a ****ing thing,I wear a mask, but i hate them. Not a cosmetic thing, i just hate wearing them.

Due to me finishing late after work, i still find myself going to the little Asda garage most nights, which is one off those 24hr mini markets... It's enough for my basic needs..
I give my mum and dad a shopping list once a week, as it gives them something to do, and they drop it off on saturday morning...Plus i get extra goodies hoyed in![]()
It gives them something to do i guess...I didn't see them for 3 months, despite living less than 2 miles away.Aww, that's nice of your mum and dad. Although I did make a trip to the supermarket the other day, because buying in bulk, can't really happen for salad stuff.

I'm hindered cos i now wear glasses and constant steaming up..But it's not a big price to pay really is it?Going shopping same as I always was, not really a fan of shopping online. Especially when buying veg or meat.
Masks although a tad annoying don't bother me too much as I'd already been wearing them for months at work so kinda got used to them.
On shopping I had a disagreement with a member of staff yesterday while getting some bread:
'Excuse me, you shouldn't really be picking up a loaf and then putting it back, you should put the first one in your basket'
'Well you shouldn't be charging £1.50 for a loaf of bread that goes out of date tomorrow so I'll keep browsing if that's okay with you'
****s.

just pull one from near the back..stores are all about rotation....I do that
Mind you, Lidl is cheap for their 'seeded sensation' rip off of the more famous brands. I still check the dates though!

In a small way. But i only really pop in for some cans, maybe baccy, and few things...Nothing of much really.Shopping at the Asda garage must be costing you extra. When I go to the local tesco express everything's at least 30% more expensive. I see people doing their weekly shop in there. They might as well go Waitrose!
