Anyone else feel this is starting to take a backstep in the news, and it will bite us in the arse?

Not really a back step mate, locally we have had rises in cases/infections (maybe down to more testing), then we have ****ers who choose to go to other countries and blame our Government when those countries have rises meaning they have to isolate on their return to GB.

People can't have it all how it suits them, we are either ****ing up and not doing enough to protect people or we are being picky/silly for asking some to isolate when returning from countries with rising contagion rates.

<laugh>. holiday ****ers in the mist of a pandemic.

Sounds like you’re a menace tbh. I’m not sure if they’ll have been absolutely howling at that effort, or calling for you to be sectioned.

Howling with laughter I should imagine. The Taff police will be dining out on that one for years.

The Cardiff letterbox incident is probably the most exciting thing the South Wales cozzers have had to deal with since Mywanwy Morgan’s underwear got nicked off her washing line. Probably by the same gang.

Probably off topic, but did anyone else see the SKY News witness documentary, where they filmed in Syria (Idlib).

Where the hospitals had been targeted and bombed beyond all recognition, and while out their filming, the press crew themselves became a target, they couldn't shake off the drones that were being used to follow them.

So when you hear of refugees, maybe people should give places like this a thought. This is the very short version, well worth a watch and shows no where near the extent of the atrocities occuring, and the film crew themselves, were lucky to still be alive at the end of it...

****ing pisses me off when lazy ****s lap up the **** from the Daily Mail, Express etc about immigrants stealing our benefits etc.

I wonder how many of these ignorant ****ers would cope if it was their families fleeing bombs, oppression, no clean water, no electricity, food supplies disrupted etc.

And as for the ****ers like Viscount rothermere and the Barclay brothers who own these ****ing rags, stash their wealth offshore and then try and blame the powerless and those fleeing war for ‘robbing the pension pot’ when they come here seeking refuge.

SKY showed two documentries, one straight after the other, i found both interesting, albeit very sad. The video I put up, shows no where near the extent of what has happened, if you saw the two hospitals, it was brutal.

The other documentary was about Venezuela prisons. It was very difficult filming conditions for them, because the authorities kept trying to prevent them, from seeing, what they suspected they would see, It's human rights violations on a grande scale. You've got people, thrown in a cell, as if it's something from prehistoric times, if this was in less peaceful times, they would be regarded as war crimes. Basically when you get thrown in the cell, you are forgotten about, limited access to food, and no medical treatment for conditions, that would shock you.

It opens your eyes up to the world. We should also remember with Syria, many people were offered passports and a haven before the fighting broke out, so you will have had all nationalities that would be affected by the shelling. It's as the guy said at the end of the vid, about the barrel bombs, there are no consequences, also if the media can't get in and out alive, the atrocities remain hidden from the world.

If you get chance,as SKY do constant reruns, I'd suggest watching it. I'm not sure the actual runtime, I'd guess half hour, so the vid showed around 4mins. It was good to see the clips with Alex Crawford, not being edited, when she started swearing (after 9pm version), it gave a more true feel of actually being there. It also demonstrates that your average news watcher, have no idea of the length these journos go to. It even showed where she really didn't have the energy to run anymore, and it's like every dog for itself, otherwise you are going to be shot. The male reporter practically broke down at the end, he realised how close he came to meeting the grim reaper. I've seen all the hard hitting stuff of the Brazilian slums and the Venzuela prisons, but when you are in a war zone, life takes on a whole new meaning, as you would know.

I've been watching some of the VJ stuff.

Did you know (i didn't) many died after they were released from the camps, due to the food they were given?

No i didn't know. Why was that, was it a shock to their system or something wrong with the food?

Yes, they had been starved for years, and once freed were so hungry they would eat anything..But the food was to rich for their systems, and many died due to this.
yeah you almost need to be weaned back onto normal food.

As an aside most Japanese were on pretty much close to starvation rations from even before the war partially due to the cost of their invasion of China .
Not that in any way excuses their atrocities committed on pretty much everyone they had power over .
