I’m assuming they’ll soften but this is such an extraordinary time that who really knows? Maybe they’ll be steady, maybe they’ll crash. I’m no fan of the government but I applaud the fact that they are trying to keep people’s heads above water. We’re definitely heading for a recession but it’s kind of a recession that’s being forced on us. The economy wasn’t great before all this but it wasn’t very bad either so maybe things will get back to normal reasonably quickly.
There’s already some major companies starting to wobble of which some will go under. How many travel operators are going to come out of this? I’ve got an awful gut feeling that the ‘bankers recession’ will merely look a blip compared to what we’ve got coming our way. So many (mainly new) home owners are going to find themselves immediately in negative equity.

Depends on where you live normally, some areas don't drop much others crash.Don't think anyone gives a **** right now.
Property = My pension.

I give a big **** whether that makes me selfish, heartless or whatever.

It’s a threat, and a nasty one.

I absolutely will not tolerate that.

I have asked for my account to be deleted.

I am not prepared to be part of a group of people who lack the maturity to deal with someone who holds a different view in general matters.

I think it’s best all round.

You must be the biggest melt on any forum ever.

a ball!

Mine have already been forewarned they’re splitting half of what I’ve got with the dog rescue. They were incredibly supportive of that, not sure of the conversation behind my back, though <laugh>

They’ve already got a doctor lined up to say you weren’t of sound mind when you made the will. They’ll contest and take the lot. No need to argue with you now when they can sort it after you’re gone :emoticon-0130-devil

My auntie who’s the matriarch of our family and is an absolute legend, has got it. It’ll break me if we lose her to this, as I love the bones of the woman.

Very sorry to hear that man, hope she's healthy again as soon as possible.

Best wishes to your auntie mate.

Two of my friends, one late 50s, one late 60s - might even be 70 - have had the virus and are now almost fully recovered, so the prognosis may not be too bad even for older people.

Someone very close to us was actually placed on a ventilator, put in an induced coma for a week and got diagnosed with pneumonia. Caught while in the Czech Republic of all places.

He's on the mend and looking stronger everyday, and hes near 70. So, anyone who has a family member/friend who's sick, stay confident, and trust in your relative's stength.
