Been really short of breath the past 2/3 days. Random bursts of it even while doing nothing.

Probably down to smoking a lot of weed again. Either that or cos I'm not doing anything.

They’re urging people to give up smoking. Not sure what difference a week or two without ***s will do but smokers are generally seeing far more problems than non-smokers.

Hardly surprising when it's respiratory related.

I've not smoked a single cigarette since working from home to be fair but the cannabis intake has obviously increased since lockdown.

From what I understand as a smoker myself, who has not had a cig for 2-3 weeks, it's something to do with how the lungs heal themself, sorry don't know the medical terms for it. But after than sort of period of time, you develop a mild dry cough (which I have) which you may not have had before, that's the body kicking out the toxins. So as I understand even a few weeks of not smoking, gives you a better chance on a ventilator.

Every time I've stopped smoking I've been coughing up black **** for weeks afterwards. I've read the above somewhere as well.

Well done btw mate.

oh joy of joys Boots have just rang to say my scrip cannot be fulfilled as their normal supplier says "manufacturer cannot supply at present time" and their reserve supplier said it was on back order i.e. no idea when it will be in stock so i need to find an equivalent .Desperately hoping i kept an old script with my reserve ( just in case of manufacturing problems ) on as the electronic records don't show it .

Just a suggestion but have you tried an independent high street pharmacist.

I have a particular scrip and every repeat I've found Boots and Lloyds always tell me they're out. I think it's because they seem to get all the traffic from GPs nowadays. And then with the current shortages they just get even more fcked.

In the end I took my scrip and went to another decent size independent pharmacy and they had it in stock. This was last week. Appreciate it depends on the item, but thought it might be worth a try.

Must admit that it’s not just boredom that has motivated me to get on the treadmill every other day and join the family for a boring dog walk every day. I also want to be as fit as possible should I get this ****ing thing. I know people who are younger and in better physical condition than me have sadly passed away but you do what you can.
