The reality of what’s about to unfold is just kicking in. Even the orange “it’s a hoax” moron admitted yesterday that over 200k Americans could die from this virus.

What percentage of the American population is that, Stan?

How many Americans die of lung cancer every year?

How many Americans die as a result of contracting other flu strains?

Is covid-19 any worse than those, Stan?

No insults, just answers, please.

60,000 flu deaths.

135,000 deaths from lung cancer.

Do we go into lockdown to minimise the number of deaths from those other diseases? Yes or no?

60,000 flu deaths.

135,000 deaths from lung cancer.

Each and every year, Stan.

And this is merely two causes of death out of countless causes, each and every year.

Do you really not see that the reaction to this virus is utterly disproportionate?

The expectation is that Covid-19 will come and go, which is why we are being forced to forego our liberties, and yet huge numbers will continue to die of cancers, viruses, air pollution, weather, accidents, etc... every single year.

Do we go into lockdown to minimise the number of deaths from those other diseases? Yes or no?

That’s my entire point, you halfwit!

No, we don’t go into lockdown in order protect us from the other ravages of this cruel world.

Hence, the reaction of some countries has been disproportionate.

You can’t debate without insults as your arguments never hold up to scrutiny, possibly because you take a position purely to get attention and/or attempt to speak with authority on subjects you only have a scratch the surface knowledge of. I spotted that the first time I noticed you existed when I tore you apart over your lack of understanding of s106 agreements.

The only thing restricting you Leslie are your own inabilities and failings.

Do you understand how natural immunity works?

No, we don’t go into lockdown in order protect us from the other ravages of this cruel world.

Not sure if you realise the incongruity of your statements here ?

You mention natural immunity, but that's the thing that makes Covid-19 so problematic, because humans do not have any immunity to this virus, as it is a novel strain. Therefore it has the potential to infect all 7.8 billion people on the planet.

Hence the need for countries to take such drastic measures to try and flatten the curve of infection rates, so as not to completely cripple all institutions and infrastructure, and limit tens and possibly hundreds of thousands of deaths.

Boris Johnson hasn't got it ! he's finishing the book he was writing during the floods to save his arse 600k.

Good to see the football community coming together to support the community and NHS <ok>

That’s all well and good but there’s plenty of stories about non-playing staff getting pay cuts, furloughed and laid off. Local people who look after the young players having payments stopped, suppliers having payments stopped etc...

All while the players take full pay.

I’ve no idea what QPR are doing but for all our car crashes on the pitch the current regime are very good at doing the right thing off it. Using the stadium name to promote awareness of knife crime, involvement with Grenfell etc.

West Ham are probably negotiating a price for use of their club doctor.

Tony Fernandez is a decent bloke . Used to own the Caterham F1 team , always came across as Genuine .

I couldn't give a **** who plays for us, who leaves, how few trophies we ever win but to watch us act like the **** who runs weatherspoons is ****ing disgusting...think it is the only time I have been ashamed of the club.
****ish behaviour to impose a 20% wage cut on the lowest paid.

Woodwood is probably agonising over whether he should try and outcunt Levy.

Agree 100%. what do you think would happen to the players if they openly donated some of their wages to cover this? Do you think Levy would react to a public display of unity against the top brass?

He’s absolutely ****ing clueless when it comes to running a football club sadly. He’s not as involved these days. Not sure he’s going to come out of this well given he relies on income from airlines which struggle to keep planes in the sky at the best of times.

Can't see him doing anything to stop it...it's like they all live in a bubble and are shocked at the ensuing outrage.

Look at weatherspoons owner and Gordon Ramsey

I’m not surprised that it would cross their minds but for the saving, the PR must be horrendous even if you take the morals out of the equation. These guys aren’t thick so I find it all a bit baffling.
