We've been talking of this kind of thing at work today ( 2 metres apart you know :emoticon-0102-bigsm)
I'd be more than happy to pay 30% tax in return for a good health service and decent pension .

I am no Tory - far, far from it, but I have very few complaints with the measures the chancellor has put in place to help the majority of us at the moment. It hasn't been perfect and mistakes have been made, but I recognise that would have happened anyway no matter who was in power because we have never dealt with something this bad in modern times. This will all need paying for though, and if that means those of us who come out of this with jobs need to pay a hell of a lot more tax in the short term and a bit more going forward then that seems fair to me.

As for the NHS - we need some serious investment in the short term and proper investment going forward. If that results in high tax rises for the foreseeable future then so be it. It is an investment worth making as far as I am concerned.

Agree mate ... I'm certainly no Tory but he has been a revelation ... worry for him because Bojo will be resenting his growing reputation and kudos ...

Mate I know 3 nurses and the PPE is a mess.
Totally disorganised !
They are very worried !

I completely agree. The chancellor has done a good job with dealing with the here and now, but the mess with the rest of it is real.
Yeah financial support has been swift but I really dont understand the NHS lack of supply!
The excel centre seems to be a flagship promotional exercise but little news of the actual frontline !
