Your world is very bleak and nobody clapped at 8 pm ... in the real world people show their appreciation ... don't knock it 'till you try it <cheers>

What we clapping for Ethel?

There’s a nice lady over there who works in BHS.

In the cafe bit or the clothes bit?

Not sure.

Ahhhh.

Yeah.
50 auld gibbers stood in a queue and they spontaneously applaud the Indian woman with a badge who’s getting in before them.

Yeah I’m buying it.....

I really don't care either way ... but the guy I work with I trust, indeed he's the Group FD .. and I've merely relayed what he told me on our call first thing this morning ...

General public supporting our NHS unconditionally... perhaps the Government will when this **** fest is over ... but I won't hold my breath. <cheers>

Piss taking aside, if it’s true, it’s a lovely anecdote.

And yes, I agree with you, hopefully one of the few benefits of this ****show is that it’ll see an end to people being conned by the shills selling the ‘low taxation, low regulation, small Govt’ bollocks, and the legacy of this should be that a collective self supporting society lead by Govt and paid for by all of us, is most definitely important.

I don't wish to put a downer on the applause for the NHS, but it was clear from TV footage that some neighbours out on the street were not 2 metres apart <doh>

It's true 100% ... apparently she was a bit embarrassed because she's quite humble and just thinks she's doing what she's paid for ... he was proud as punch and I don't blame him.

Coronavirus: Weekly house buying interest slumps 40%

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52051174

It's difficult to see anything else for a while.

Job uncertainty, lenders probably reviewing lending criteria and asking questions of borrowers with existing mortgage offers. Then to top it off no viewings because of the social distancing.

News like this will just cause more people to pull out or hold back. Whole thing snowballs.

I can’t remember which ones you said! I’ve been in and out of the market more than Del Boy this past two weeks. Definitely gained a few grey hairs!

Clue: Phil Taylor :)

Bought at just over £2 :)

Just Today;

March 26 (GMT)
  • 6203 new cases and 712 new deaths in Italy. Worldometer has contacted Piedmont officials directly and received confirmation that the number of deaths in the region is 499, 50 more than what mistakenly reported in the Protezione Civile's bulletin today. This discrepancy was clearly due to a typing error by Protezione Civile, not to Piedmont's number of new deaths (16 today) missing in the national report, as incorrectly stated by some media. After solving this discrepancy, we changed the official total number of deaths in Italy from 8,165 to 8,215 and, accordingly, the total number of cases from 80,539 to 80,589 [source]
