For once he's had to admit to himself he's out of his depth. And that humbling is the only reason he's coming across as good in front of the cameras.

I didn't say it would last but what is happening right now certainly isn't free market capitalism, government have taken almost complete control of the flow of money in the economy.

It really isn’t. If you think these extreme measures in an extreme situation is somehow a sign of the tories embracing socialism rather than acting out of necessity in the short term then you’re going to be highly disappointed when this is over and it stops!

Except they haven’t because the onus is still entirely on businesses to take advantage of the mechanisms being made available.

As I said in a previous comment though I agree it isn’t free market capitalism.

I’ve already said earlier in this thread I think businesses will take advantage of the measures. But the fact the decision lies with the businesses means the government hasn’t taken control and it isn’t socialism ;)

I'm a socialist at heart but you've got me thinking... what was the alternative action they could've taken which you would've considered as not being socialist?
