Reporter asked about Brexit it today.

Kinda got the feeling the mass, mass majority of people simply couldn't care less. I felt like Boris knew saying "we have more important problems right now" would annoy some people, so he didn't say it, but it's definitely what he wanted to say.

He needs to stop playing to his audience and actually start doing his job ie delegate the work to the experts and the people in his cabinet who aren’t ****wits. The Chancellor seems to be on the ball. Let him run the show.

Quite. Not heard from Priti Patel for a while.

Your suggesting he's running this show alone?

imagine if Boris wasn't fronting these press conferences, you'd bitch about that then. Get a grip. <doh>

I think he’s running the show in the same way that he ran HIGNFY, except he now actually has some influence.

He’s ****ing useless because he’s not really interested.

No. Cummings is writing his scripts, which of course comes with his latest fatuous slogan - we’ll do whatever it takes.

Apart from your personal dislike for the man, you have absolutely no evidence for that at all. He's made reportedly one off colour remark, as most have, and today shot down a Brexit question in a semi-joking manner. I see not a single difference in how Boris has dealt with this compared to any government would, apart from Boris is likely throwing more money at the problem compared to previous Prime Ministers would.

You can admit you don't like him, but to suggest he's not taking this seriously is ridiculous. It seems fairly obvious the government is thinking about this every minute of the day and he's pumping unprecedented resources into it.

He didn't seem to have a script today, he was mostly winging it and the questions were very precise, most directly asking questions people on this forum were asking not a day before.

Again, it's personal dislike that is swaying people, not anything he's actually done.

I didn’t pass comment on his handling of this issue. I merely stated the obvious.

Unless you actually think that both him and Sunak constantly repeating the - we’ll do whatever it takes - line for the last 2 days is somehow completely spontaneous and not in any way contrived?

His initial reaction to it was pretty much “whatever”.

Similar to his reaction when communities were under water, which was to vanish for a week. His second holiday inside 2 months since winning the election.

His track record at City Hall was that he liked grand gestures, speeches and parties. He doesn’t do detail or graft.

He looks bored to tears during the daily press conferences.

He doesn’t give a **** about you mate. Some of his team do and they appear to be capable of managing this so let them get on with it. He can focus on writing his next book and screwing the secretaries.

I don't really see what your point is if I'm being honest. I was more flabbergasted at the suggestion that the Prime Minister isn't delegating tasks out, and is dealing with this national emergency alone. While simultaneously not giving a ****, because it's Boris.

You can pretend not to understand what I said if you like mate, not even arsed.

In your opinion, of course, I think he looks like he's taking it seriously. Extra somber maybe, as many people are suggesting he really doesn't give a ****, so he has to put on an even gloomier face.

I'm not his mate, I don't care if he worries about me personally, but the suggestion that this isn't being delegated to people who know what they're doing, while he is permanently flanked by a professor is simply ludicrous Stan. He's the elected prime minister, he will front these press conferences, but I am highly doubtful he is making every single decision and the intelligent people are playing sudoku.

I think he’s delegating plenty, pretty much everything, but with instructions that are ill thought through. He’s followed the same path as Trump.

It’s not a big deal
It’s a bit of a deal but we’ll be fine, we’re British/American
It’s a bit ****, I’ve put Rishi/Mike in charge
I’m all over this like you would not believe
