Anyone else have a really stingy relative?

One of my aunties is famous for it.

I rang my grandma yesterday to make sure she was okay, had everything she needed and was clued up on the latest advice.

She said she wants to avoid big supermarkets but wants a paper to read so I offered to buy her one and pop it round every other day.

She asked if I wanted any money - which of course I said no - and I offered to get her groceries but it turns out my auntie already has but charged my grandma - her own mother!

This woman is retired, recently windowed, is 82, is battling cancer and only lives off of a small pension unlike my reasonably well off auntie.

My auntie didn't take all the money because it was 'potentially dirty' but told my grandma not to worry and that she would take it off of the value of a mothers day present!
<yikes><yikes>
This is a wind yeah ??

The best thing to get this country back to normal as quickly as possible is if we can also have a test that tells you if you've already had the virus.

As the numbers rise of those who have recovered ppl can start getting back to work, going about their business and personal lives.
Too simple that mate !:emoticon-0114-dull:

Imagine you was locked in at home working, with a load of screaming children...I think some parents are going to find it a very long 12 weeks or however long all this takes.

Am hoping my school will be classed as for vulnerable children and stay open.
The idea that these kids and families will cope with no support and stuck in a house or flat (most don't have a garden) until September is awful.

Cos these kids have mental health issues we have to prepare them gor big changes...this will tip some of them over the edge.

One of the parents rang us up this morning crying cos her 8 year ASD kid is being violent at home and scaring his little sister...we drew up a plan for her to help at home but without our support it may simply get worse.

Sorry to be so miserable but only the teenbeast is at home and I don't wanna stress her with this stuff so you bunch of retrobates get it :bandit:

As a side issue...WTF is up with me?
Praying not to be off work on full pay til September...these little ****ers have made me go soft in the head <laugh>

I know we all bitch at each other on here (mainly cos you're assholes:bandit:) but I hope you and yours come out of this safely <cheers>

My brother has text to say he quite possibly has it and is now self isolating. No official test offered when he rung 111 as he apparently Is low risk?
It’s bonkers tbh. I read about a COVID-19 lead consultant and his radiographer wife, who were having to self isolate for 2 weeks, as one of their kids had showed symptoms. They have not been tested so they have to stay away from work.

Ever seen that Hitchcock film, "Strangers on a train"?
Two guys meet on a train and one of them suggests killing eachothers enemies (ex wife and mother iirc).
So I was thinking I could kill your aunt...I don't need anyone killing but feel like the ****er deserves to die and it would be a better use of my time than killing the next **** who barges me out of the way as they rush to the empty pasta isle in the co op!

(Guess who has had a sciatica episode for the last 9 daysand has had to stop taking co cocodemole as I have reached the safe limit <grr>)

Got a call from my employer this afternoon.
I've been on leave for a week and a half, back in tomorrow.
They wanted to know if I had an underlying health condition.
They are sending people who have an underlying health condition home to self isolate for 12 weeks on full pay.

When does Derren Brown jump out and announce the whole coronavirus story was a prank?

TBF production values have gone up hugely this season

Don't think I want her killed but I certainly want her talking to.

People are avoiding confrontation in order to not upset my grandma but she sees that as a free reign or what she's does is normal.
