Just a thought about all this working from home, are the employees going to be compensated by the employers for the use of home broadband. <whistle>

Time to bust out the flame throwers and begin the use of cleansing fire.

So unsurprisingly my Nan's fight back from Lanzarote on Monday is cancelled. Checking it on a day by day basis to try and get back and says her and a friend were quoted 1600 quid EACH from one airline. ****ing state of that ffs.

Cheers.

All the best to you and your brother. Definitely a time for sticking together as best we can.

Similar to one of my mates.

I visited his 2 week old child on Monday and he's just finished doing up his new house so he's basically spunked all his money. He works for British Airways as an engineer and he's been told to come in next week to see if he's one of the workforce to be laid off. He been told to stay at home atm.

Grim.

haha my ones got a 1 and a half year old, spunked some money doing his house too and works in flight related matters.

Yeah, we'll stick together.

So my daughter's just come in dancing around the living room at the school closure.

So I say, it's not a good thing you're going to miss out on all that learning and no exams.

And as the words came out my mouth I thought <doh> ...and my daughter shouts "yeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!" and does a fist pump!

<laugh>

The best thing to get this country back to normal as quickly as possible is if we can also have a test that tells you if you've already had the virus.

As the numbers rise of those who have recovered ppl can start getting back to work, going about their business and personal lives.

Yep, it will be very important to get people tested and out again. Cannot wait to get back to work, hate being off.

Early days but so far I’m cool with it. Lots of conferences calls and people checking in on each other. A lot of my colleagues are Italian/Spanish but no reports of anyone’s family being affected as yet. Think morale in any office will take a big hit when someone is badly affected.

Yeah, I think it’s the lack of exercise. Usually go for a walk at lunch, and my commute includes a bit of walking.

I expect the gym to close by the end of the week. Had a number of conference calls, but it’s weird not talking to people face to face.

I’ve ordered some gear to work out from home but wouldn’t surprise me if the orders get cancelled. Loads of stuff online to help workouts even without equipment and you can still go for a walk as long as you don’t go near anyone (assuming you don’t live bang in a town centre). Easy to get in a rut after a few days so keep active if you can.

Saying that I’ve done **** all since logging in at 9.

The airline has a legal duty to get you back if you've flown out with them. The airline should be finding alternatives not you.

That SHOULD be made illegal .
