Good excuse to buy lots of beer.
Trump is doing it for the same reasons as the Chinese did at the start. The "nothing to see here" approach is all about money.
I've got 16 bottles of Belgian coming tommorrowWell that's the panic buying done for tonight, it's now top up every night until we have enough to see it through.
Republicans renaming it the China Virus is both sinister and transparent.Trump promotes his own version of reality, often in complete opposition to all the evidence. The entire Republican party have colluded in this up to now, buy he can't keep on claiming his administration is doing a wonderful job when the bodies are piling up, and the economy is in freefall.
I’m going to go panic buy Guinness tomorrow.Good excuse to buy lots of beer.
We've done the coast to coast (Whitehaven to Sunderland) a couple of times. You must log in or register to see images
Just got back from a bike ride and a couple of these![]()

Yes it has been for a long time .We've done the coast to coast (Whitehaven to Sunderland) a couple of times.
Bit of a pub crawl on a bike. **** knows how we made it home.
Didn't know this either "It is illegal to ride your bike under the influence of drink or drugs, and you would be guilty of this if you were unfit to ride to such an extent as you are incapable of having proper control of the bicycle.”![]()
Yeah just read that, 196 dead today alone, including one of their regional medical chiefs.Italy deaths have shot up. This is a proper killer
Yeah just read that, 196 dead today alone, including one of their regional medical chiefs.
It said on the news this morning g that we have half the amount of critical care beds that Italy does and they're already pretty well occupied!Sadly I expect plenty of them would’ve been avoidable had there been fewer cases overall so their resources weren’t so stretched. It really should be a warning to us about what this thing can do if you don’t have the capacity in hospitals to deal with it. Some people are going to die inevitably in all countries but around 10% of those who catch it will need a hospital, apparently.
Some people are just dense ffs. iTz jUsT dA fLU.
Only it’s a flu virus with no vaccine and is new, so there’s no current community immunity
It has a mortality rate of at least 1% - 10x that of the flu
And a transmission rate about 2.5 times that of flu.
So far the hospitalisation rates are around 10%, with 5% needing intensive care.
If this thing spreads unhindered across the populous and only 10% catch it, that’s 600,000 who’d need a hospital bed. We’ve only got 165,000 of them.....people would therefore die - needlessly, as they’d be deprived respirator care.
The entire reason countries are closing down areas is to try and slow the transmission rate down, as otherwise it’ll completely overwhelm the system.
Boris is building 40 new hospitals though, that will help.
does that include the hospitals already built? But Diane Abbott...
