21 years with Royal Mail, and I doubt I ever did more than a handful of 8 hour days. I did work hard, but mostly so I could go home early.

It’s not like that anymore. Postmen are still walking the streets at 3.00pm, and I don’t think the managers ever switch off. That’s not progress btw; that’s the relentless drive for profit at any cost, sucking all the joy out of everything.

yes . The telecoms side is definitely a far better side to be on !

US topped 2,000 deaths in 24 hours, the first country to do so ... they will have passed the Italians in the next 24 almost certainly ... meanwhile the wiggy satsuma continues to be in denial and expects to be business as usual sooner than previously thought <doh>...

You can do that. You can also factor in the % of that 980 who died with Coronavirus, but not necessarily of it.
On that basis....90% of the people that have died would of died some time this year(that's according to my other half
who contracts for the NHS at the royal free}.....So are the other 10% just seriously unlucky to have reacted so badly
to it?

Everton most expensive season ticket: £565
Total number of season tickets: 31,000
Maximum season ticket revenue: £17,515,000

2018/19 TV revenue: £128,603,905

Season ticket holders are financially irrelevant

2018/19 football revenue paid by Astro: £0

Welcome to my point.

You’re literally stealing from the game, whilst simultaneously calling those who pay money to follow it hypocrites.

Plus, as has already been pointed out to you, without actual match goers, the game is worthless as a spectacle and wouldn’t generate the £BN’s worldwide, that it does.

Not dismissive at all. Lower league football is fine. If you want PL quality football then that needs [HASHTAG]#worldclass[/HASHTAG] players which needs billion pound TV deals which needs worldwide fanbases.

People who support major PL clubs but think only stadium fans or season ticket holders are "real" fans are dismissive and deluded hypocrites. You only get to watch these players because of worldwide fans.

<laugh>

yeah, the players pre PL in the English game were all just cloggers.

I don’t think we’ll know the full story until it’s all over, not because the authorities are keeping it from us, but because no one really knows the who, how or why that some people are so badly effected and others aren’t.

The more people are tested, the more we’ll know. I strongly suspect the likelihood of a healthy person dying is pretty low, but I don’t want to catch it to find out. That’s if I haven’t had it already.

if I was a nurse or doctor in ICU I’d be worried. Every ****ing one of them deserves a huge pay rise after this.

As an overweight old fart whose lungs are bit ****ed by smoking, I think the danger to me is mostly in my own head.

How many times have players and Managers praised the home support ? 12th man etc .

Take that out and it is utterly Soulless.

I bet the players would find it very very difficult to adjust .

Well on a more positive note I just managed to book a business class flight on Qatar Airways back to the UK for my 3 week lebaran holiday from middle of May for around 2000US - it would normally be about 5 grand. They have waived any ticket restrictions as well, so can change or refund in full. I suspect the CEO of Qatar will ring me up shortly and thank me for booking, as I don't suspect they are getting a lot of custom right now.

Now have to figure out how to get a Covid Test Certificate here, in case I need it on arrival in UK, or there, as currently I definitely need one to come back here.
