I have been assured by a poster on here that no vaccine has ever been produced for a corona virus <whistle>
You were given a fact. There has never been a vaccine successfully produced that works against any corona virus. The fact that a vaccine for COVID-19 is shortly to be trialled is no guaranteed that it’ll actually work.

Just had an entire fried onion with my omelette. Winner.

Any more news from Barnet?

It's as I thought, the owner is doing everything he can to cut back now to make sure the hive survives this.
The manager is on six months notice, if the league starts by then he will be staying.

My Mrs called me from outside Aldi yesterday as she had been waiting outside as they had closed it because there were too many people inside. I heard people asking each other if they knew anywhere that had bog roll and then shooting off there. My wife only wanted mangoes!

There is no panic buying going on here, its calm in the shops and all the bog roll you need.

Would like to think that it's down to a different mentality but suspect its more due to the fact that
1) most people don't have room sized freezers for perishable stuff
2) they would have to evict one of their children if they want to store large amounts of non-perishable goods
3) they don't have the savings to spend large amounts of money on items that they wont eat until next month

There's a lot to be said for living in developing countries during times of crisis.

Not convinced that wiping your arse with mangoes is in line with the latest WHO advice mate ...:bandit:

A man in his 40s with motor neurone disease (MND) is thought to be the youngest person in the UK to have died having tested positive for coronavirus.
Craig Ruston, died in Kettering, Northamptonshire, on Monday morning and his chest infection was diagnosed as Covid-19.
In a post on his Facebook page, Me and My MND, his wife Sally paid tribute to a "wonderfully kind and caring person".
In the UK, 104 people with coronavirus have now died.

All good for you I have them in my cheese sandwich or on salad
Prefer yellow and red ones

I've just looked it up and actually you are onto a winner :)

Red Peppers have loads of Luteolin and quercetin, way more than green so my original source was wrong.

The red pepper had significantly higher total phenolics content than the green pepper. Among the 4 different colored peppers, red pepper contained a higher level of beta-carotene (5.4 microg/g), capsanthin (8.0 microg/g), quercetin (34.0 microg/g), and luteolin (11.0 microg/g). The yellow pepper had the lowest beta-carotene content (0.2 microg/g), while the green one had undetectable capsanthin and the lowest content of luteolin (2.0 microg/g)

You can plug yourself up and wait for the panic buying to be over though <ok>

Interesting article on how Germany are preparing

https://www.ft.com/content/c0755b30-69bb-11ea-800d-da70cff6e4d3

"Last week, the federal government ordered an extra 10,000 life-saving ventilators from a German manufacturer, on top of the 25,000 that are already in place in hospitals across the country. The city state of Berlin, which has so far recorded 391 cases of Covid-19, is converting parts of the local trade fair ground into a 1,000-bed hospital for future coronavirus patients. Similar steps have been taken across the country."

They are currently testing 160,000 per week.

This compares to the UK
"The number of tests has been rising from just over 1,000 a day at the end of February, when testing began, to more than 6,000 per day by mid-March. The government plans to increase this to 10,000 a day initially, with a goal of reaching 25,000 tests a day within four weeks."

Heroin works even better. Smack heads will be unaffected by bogroll drought, maybe god has been looking after them all along.
