No problem with lockdown as long as affected businesses are adequately looked after, which they probably won’t be.
    All a load of bollocks.

I don’t agree with making people pay, but restricting their movement is fine by me.

These fire breaks are just kicking the can down the road as far as I see it.

It's still there when we come back out and, if it's a virulent as they think, we're all getting it anyway.

I think in this instance though, if it allows a bit of time to compile more actual data, I can see the point.
It seems to be leading to the conclusion that it's far less severe so there has to come a point when we just live with what happens next, and it fizzles out.

North Wales authority (Betwsy Cadwallader HS or something) decides to cancel all non urgent ops to concentrate on the booster. All staff.

    I mean, for **** sake, that's ludicrous.

Colleague of mine casually told me on Friday he'd got a skin carcenoma that requires removal, and already might be too far advanced. He's been ignoring it.

Imagine finding out giving people ****ing booster jabs is more of a priority than dealing with that. So, if he was in N Wales, by the time they've scared everyone into having a jab, he may well be too far down the road and die of cancer.

    Nice.

I agree. We've gone through the process of having all the jabs, so any restrictions need to be in our favour this time. Our reward if you like.

Yeah same. I keep hearing the unvaccinated saying they want freedom of choice, well in my book they have a choice. Either have a vaccine, or accept that you won't be able to enjoy the same unrestricted access to public spaces as those who have.

    There's your choice.

On the news tonight an investigation by cyber experts has uncovered a scam selling proof of vaccinations to NHS staff as well as the general public

If true that could destroy any long term hopes of beating COVID

People who are on a salary will accept it mate.
The people who stand to lose out financially? We’ll see.

Exactly. They’re invariably the same people who refuse to also wear masks, so **** ‘em, give them a lesson in what society actually means.

I'm not on a salary. I'm self employed, so no work means no pay.

I'd still accept a Jan lockdown if it was needed though.

And I doubt the Govt will issue any Self employed grants this time around either.

    Agree completely.
How can anyone agree with cancelling check ups on sick elderly people so that a healthy 18 year old can have a third dose of a vaccine when he probably didn’t even need the first one.
    Mental.

That’s good mate. I’m glad that you are in a position where you can afford to do that.
Unfortunately not all of us can though. Last time I heard, about a third of the uk population live month to month, waiting for payday. We need to make sure they are covered before we even think about locking down.

Restricted numbers and all games in TV.

    Restrictions on Gigs/Theatre etc.

numbers in a shop at anyone time limited. Asked not to mix household/bubbles. But can’t see it as anything more than that. 4th jab offered to those who want it in March.

I know a couple of 'friends' who won't get vaccinated.

One is my Mrs's bestie from school, but it's her husband driving it more than her. Goes to protests outside Drakeford's house etc. He's a ****ing idiot.

Anyway, they've all had it and survived, but it would now cause frictions between us as I'm now at a point where I resent my own life being restricted to protect those who haven’t had it.

I know it's supposedly protecting the NHS but, by default, it's the unvaccinated because it's them who would be affected worse by catching it. I won't. I absolutely think these should have to pay for any treatment if they need it, **** em.

I don't want to be in situation where I'd be pissed off with and by them, so I'm not having them anywhere near me.

Went for a nice NYE walk with them last year and that, won't be this time!

Oh it would defo hit me financially. But at least I don't have the huge overheads of running a restaurant or the like. It's those businesses I feel sorry for, they've literally been battered over the last 18 months, and another lockdown without any financial support will see loads of them go to the wall.
