One of my colleagues is an East Ender of the "my granddad knew The Twins" school of cheeky cockney bullshit. Someone set him up with a birthday message from celebrity rent-a-gangster Dave Courtney. Until the penny eventually dropped a few days later, my colleague shat himself thinking someone had put Courtney on him with nefarious intent

I think he wants to lock us down (scientifically rather than personally), but after recent warnings that he's treading a fine line with his back benchers, he's holding off.

It will come and Labour will help him force it through, personally I'm just hoping he leaves it alone until until after boxing day.

Suggestion it could be a month long when it does come.

The funny part about all this, if there is one, Boris implementing a lockdown could be the sting in tail to force him out of number 10. Fate works in mysterious ways.

He’s gambling isn’t he, Boris? Hoping that the Omicron variant turns out to be relatively harmless, particularly to the vaccinated, and further lockdowns turn out to be unnecessary.

My opinion of the bloke hasn’t changed, but I’m hopeful he’s called this one right. I respect a gambler, so long as he pays his debts when they come due.

I think he already knows the answers, so yes he is gambling, because he knows the consequences within a certain section of his Party. He knows Labour will push a lockdown through. I hope he has balls of steel, because I'm going to be very pissed off if he locks us down now.

I should add, I'm saying this because suggestion is when it comes, it will be a household lockdown, ie no mixing with other households.

I don't think folk will comply this time, then if we get fines etc, they'll be more protests with larger numbers, it will become a complete **** show, his only saving grace is, it's January and half the nation locks itself away most years anyway.

He wouldn’t dare lockdown now, given the current optics, so there’s no bravery here, he simply won’t do it. Any form of lockdown in Jan would be closing the stable door after the horse has bolted. We just need to hope this variant is indeed mild as the cases will continue to rocket. 90% of those needing the most care for COVID in our hospitals are currently unvaccinated, there you go. Good luck to those geniuses.

Yeah, if they start with all that three households rule of 6 go to work but don't got work bollocks, no one is paying any attention this time. Trouble is, businesses in city centres are already on their arse, but can it get any worse for them?

Any chance you can muzzle Starmer until after our four day break, thanks mate.

This

Boris is more concerned that he'd get ousted by his own party if he went for lockdown.

So he won't

He’s been against lockdowns since the start, hence the reason he held back with the previous lockdowns. Now he’s got the brains trust of the ERG on his case there’s no chance he’s going there. He’d rather see bodies stacked in the street.

Didn't he already say as much when the first lockdowns were suggested to him ?

So will you blame him if that happens as a consequence of him not locking us down this time for Christmas or are you prepared to take the risk?

Afterall a lot of this has to come back to us and the choices we want to make. So in your situation, for example you still happy to take the risk to see your mum or not.

I'm still happy after weighing everything up to proceed with my plans, and as a consequence, that's my responsibility, not Boris' Starmers or anyone elses. I have no intention of wanting to be locked down again, nor will I be blaming parties held at number 10 last Christmas.

It's not about complying, I will take what ever legal safety measures are required of us, all I ask of Boris this Christmas for the four day break, let us make the choice.

Boris can do what he wants after that.

Lol don't know if anybody gets these ads popping up on SM, but Nigel Farage is now whoring himself out to do personalised video messages the ****in grifter <laugh>

You can book a whole host of Z list celebrities like Barry Chuckle, Neil Ruddock and Mr Motivator, along with right wing ale swilling liars like Farage to wish yer Auntie Maud a happy birthday.
