Yeh but it was a few Christmas ago so I don't see the point in pretending I'm outraged a few years later.

<whistle>
I believe theres a difference between somebody hosting a party and somebody setting bombs off and killing children.

Obviously lefties think they're the same.

having the vaccine does not either stop you getting Covid or passing it on though it does lessen risk of catching it so the logic to some extent escapes me .
Well unless you accept that the passport is really just a method of trying to "coerce" people who don't want the vaccine to take it which has far more to do with hospital admissions rather than transmission rates .

I don't think there's a magic bullet for any of it, so it's about trying to manage the risk in the best way possible.

I have to say, I don't have a problem with it. I know it's more Govt restrictions and there will be people who will kick off about it, but it's not that much of an imposition to show an app with your vaccine status on it. Most people have already had the jabs, and those who are medically exempt won't have to need a passport.

The people who kick off about this complain about their freedoms being restricted, and being free to have a choice. In my book, you'll lose your freedoms (along with everybody else) if covid rates go through the roof again because of huge transmission rates. And as for your right to choose, you have a choice, you either have a vaccine and prove you've had it, or you choose not to engage in those things that require you to have one.

I know not everybody will agree with this, but this is my take on it.

You don't need to be vaccinated though. A negative test will suffice. Logistically impossible to check everyone though and will spot checks at best I reckon.

Really if they're worried about crowds then it should be test results required more than anything else.

A negative test makes it even easier tbh. Tests are free and you can do one up to 30 mins before

But yeah, there's no way you can realistically check all 30k plus people going into a stadium.

Yeh I mean 140,000+ deaths is obviously a big difference.

Not sure I recall Corbyn planting any bombs doing the same.

Blaming the Tories for every single death is a big leap mate, and a fairly ridiculous statement to be absolutely honest.

Oh I thought Saf was setting the tone for ridiculous statements so joined in.

It's not 140,000 clearly, nor is it zero btw. I suppose the number of deaths they are responsible can't be quantified, but their actions are responsible for many.

Agree with that, and I also agree that the actions of the IRA were murder, and often of children, and this shouldn't just be put in the 'it happened a few years back so that's alright' bracket.

Agree with you about the IRA, and agree about the remark about it happening a few years back as well, I was paraphrasing an earlier quote I disagreed with.

Thats the squaddie in you mate, flag before logic.

Thats why you won't vote Labour? Cos ira **** from 30 years ago?

Mate the IRA blew up Deal Barracks, nowt more than musicians. I still remember it today, never to be forgotten1989.

Those that lost thier lives that day in Kent...

You were the one who linked them and made light of being outraged years later at them murdering bastards.

People will be outraged at the IRA until the day they die. Nobody will be outraged unless its faux outrage because the Conservatives held a Christmas party.

I know.

To me it's like saying Ian Huntley should be allowed out of jail because it was few years ago.

We should never have, or continue to make, deals with the IRA. Someone should put a bullet in Gerry Adams's head.

No you linked them by claiming he supported the IRA. Then you took it further and insinuated he murdered children.

You used the murders play politics and attack him. You belittle the victims of the IRA nobody else.
