i'll clap for the NHS when they show proper contrition and more importantly show they have learnt from scandal after scandal all of which have the same factors of ignoring warnings and then cover ups of what actually happened .

I have some empathy with this statement. I very much value the NHS but I've had two major incidents with loved ones needing treatment for critical conditions and both times I've had to fight consultants and nurses all the way to look after the best interests of my loved ones.

At the end of the day you deal with individuals as in every profession, some are good, some are bad, and some have been ground down so much they border on the incompetent or are institutionalised to loss of life that it becomes a statistic for them.

My main beef is the number of scandals that have been allowed to carry on well after the NHS management were informed that the problem existed but allow the poor / dangerous / lethal behaviours to continue and then they try and cover up the whole thing - over and over again .
basically imo the NHS as an institution will allow dangerous behaviours to continue rather than bringing them to public notice by disciplining staff .

There's an acceptance of it until the **** hits the fan.

There are plenty of accepted practices which are wrong but go under the radar which will never get the media attention. It's not all the medical staff's fault - other factors beyond their control e.g. funding, recruitment, staff retention, poor or inadequate resources all come into play, but as you say often there is an institutionalised mentality which protects the incompetence or bad practices as the norm.

When every **** is looking at getting compensation over any fk up no wonder there's fk ups especially when all the sh,it gets pushed back down to them run ragged by short staffing and very little resources in substandard facilities.

John pilger did a documentary on the NHS and its worth watching.....was held by ofcom until after elections.....nothing to see there again init

"When billions of dollars are behind a mission, authorities will gladly follow along and do as they are told. Testing chemicals and viruses out on human subjects are easy in third world countries where human life seems to be expendable."

Not my words but some other loony out there.

Do Boris and Co care.......of course they do

60% of adults in U.K. have had second dose. Yet the number of infections and people on ventilators is rising.

why are we letting them lie to us, bet it’s just empty beds while everyone is forced to stay at home.

The claims refer to a Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine study conducted by the U.S. non-profit organization Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH). The study, which was financed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, was cancelled in 2010 after local media reported the death of seven girls taking part ( here , here ).

The study was cancelled in 2010 following local media reports highlighting the death of seven girls taking part. Science Magazine reported that investigations carried out by a committee designated by the Indian Government later determined the deaths were unrelated to the vaccine demonstration:

“Five were evidently unrelated to the vaccine: One girl drowned in a quarry; another died from a snake bite; two committed suicide by ingesting pesticides; and one died from complications of malaria. The causes of death for the other two girls were less certain: one possibly from pyrexia, or high fever, and a second from a suspected cerebral hemorrhage.” ( here )

Bill Gates is not facing trial in India for an illegal vaccination study.

Why would there be an investigation into him? I very much doubt he's involved at any point other than providing the money the people employed by the people he employed pass out to hundreds, possibly thousands, of various humanitarian causes. You seem to think he's intimately involved in every facet of every cause he donates to, it doesn't work like that. Far more likely the people near the bottom of the chain had been set certain targets by people slightly higher, and decided to take short-cuts to meet them.
But no, Bill Gates etc etc.

That's very much how I saw it. No doubt Merck and Cervarix (great name btw) carried out some unethical practices and probably thought nobody would give a **** in India if they took shortcuts with some village kids, and they should be held accountable. But it was hardly overseen by Bill Gates the world famous biomolecular research scientist, not!

...and you’re basing this on what exactly?

The growing number of companies saying it's going to be mandatory for its workers......just like I said at the start.

Don't tell me......I'm a loon.....that'll justify your ignorance init
