Didn’t even know he was getting married.

    who really care.

in other news t he push for the Olympic to go ahead is growing. Just 100 a day in Japan dying, thought the Far East/Asian islands were ahead of the curve here due to past outbreaks of sars and such?

Twice previously married, Catholic church, all of the hoops you’d have to jump through to get permission, I’d not be in surprised in the slightest if it didn’t actually happen. Any shots of them in the actual church?

Who said anything about comparisons. I said the olympics were being pressed on with. Is it because I didn’t reply to the first response.

People flying in from around the world will make great TV.

I got my free bus pass and rail card this month thank you very much. And thanks to Ken Livingstone, I live in a city with excellent - though expensive - public trtansport. so it's all good.

You got me thinking with that picture, so question for you mate, does a car charging draw enough power to overheat a cheap extension lead?

I don’t really know that much about car charging. Tobes mentioned yesterday that modern chargers are around 7KW/hr which is about 30A. A good quality fully unwound extension lead would typically be up to 13A , but many are sold that are less than that and even the good quality ones have to be fully unwound to achieve 13A.

    Edit,
I think I’m also correct in saying that under the 18th edition of the electrical regs, EV chargers installed in residential properties have to have there own dedicated supply from the consumer unit.

Hmmm that's what I was thinking mate, so we are assurred of a few house fires then, because consumers don't even think of this stuff. <laugh>

Makes me wonder if a lot of people will just give up their cars, which is what they want anyway. I think it depends how much it's all going to cost the consumer initially. I think it was suggested the other day, might have been @Tobes where people will just hire a car when they want one.

That pic is will be the lead that comes with the car with a 3 pin plug on it, they charge at about 3kw I think.

I can't be asked to enlarge the pic, but it looks like the lead that you say comes with the car (the yellow lead?) is plugged into a reeled extension. I think I can see the power pack (small square thingy) in front of it. Then the reeled extension looks as though it goes into a heavy duty one (by the white car). It was the reeled extension that concerned me, because if it's not fully uncoiled, I wondered if it acted like a heating element and started to warm up, if it's the incorrect thickness of core. Not that I know but just the logic going through my brain lol.
