70% of those in intensive care are overweight/obese/clinically obese, regardless of age. Johnson is considerably heavier than Whitty or Hancock, and he’s the one who got it bad. Will the government extend its at risk criteria to those with a BMI of over 25 (overweight - 36% of the adult population) or 30 (obese - 29% of the adult population). I doubt it because the numbers are scary and because people will get offended. (I am well aware that BMI is not a great measure in all circumstances, but I don’t think many of those in the population falling into these categories are professional rugby players or heavyweight boxers).
BMI is a rubbish calculation for health.......though in your case Stan, might be worth checking mate
