Do you reckon Wuhan are clear now like they are saying, or they'll be another outbreak?

It's not that people in Wuhan are 'clear', it's that their isolation & social distancing policy has meant that there are fewer subsequent infections. Unless and until no-one in a given location has the virus, then someone will pass the infection on (to three further people, et seq).

As far as I am aware (from a position of complete ignorance) it is unclear whether someone who has contracted Covid-19, and has recovered from it, is still infectious, so could pass on the infection to someone else.

In short, the number of infections may decrease, due to social distancing, but if/when 'normality' resumes, the infections could well restart. In summary, we're buggered.

I think that it will take more than a global pandemic, causing the end of society as we know it, to stop the DFS sale.

Sofas will have evolved into the dominant life-form on the planet before the DFS sale ends...

Just very long, the symptoms and the fatigue accumulate day after day so you’re just left exhausted. But it was tolerable, a bad flu - thankfully nothing worse.

still can’t smell or taste a thing though!

    Quarantine Pickup Lines

If Covid-19 doesn't take you out, can I?

Is that hand sanitizer in your pocket, or are you just happy to be within 6 feet of me?

Is that pneumonia in my lungs or has your smile just left me breathless?

Are you an N95 mask? Cause I want you on my face

You can't spell virus without U and I

    Cough here often?

    I'll catch you later. *wink*

I like my virus like I like my women; easy to spread

Funny you should say that IOAG, but for all you Walking Dead fans, I call my Hand Sanitiser Lucille,

Even Mrs No7 says now if I have to go out "Have you got Lucille" :)

Up early this morning as Mrs greensaint (otherwise known as the lovely Diana) is on a long day. She's working at an inpatient unit treating critical anorexic patients, the ward next to them has confirmed cases and as they share staff it's only a matter of time before it strikes I guess. It will decimate the patients as their condition (and overall distorted world view) leave them incredibly vunerable.

My offer to swich to ward work has sortof been accepted. However they want me to work in an elderly unit near Bridport which is a round trip of around 90 miles from me. Initially I said a rude word but having thought it over thats what I'll be doing from Tues. I can't believe there aren't people nearer than I but hey, you can't offer then cherry pick. It will also test out if this old git will actually be of any use or even last a shift doing mainly physical work.

To make it worse my only reliable transport at present is my little 250cc Venox motorcycle. I can't even find a garage which will look at sorting out the front forks on the Ural 750 now, I thought I had a few months to tinker with it myself to make it ready for the summer. Ho-Hum.

The bird song has been nice here the last few sunny days (we back on to Colehill plantation which is a godsend at the moment) so try to enjoy one of the few advantages of these strange days.
