    Oh the bloody calls .

was off on weds and they set up calls , one in the morning one in the afternoon . It’s not like me , but first day of it for me yesterday and I said on the afternoon one , is there really any need for 2 calls a day ?

Silence then a couple of others joined in . So they have cancelled the afternoon ones .
    Bloody ridiculous.

It gave this old cynic a lump in his throat, quite moved.

It also cheered up my wife who is worried as the inpatient unit she works in has had 2 confirmed cases. She was involved in a restraint situation with one of them a few days ago. Its not just General Hospitals and ITU where staff are facing high risk situations, try explaining social distancing to a psychotic person who thinks you are the devil's spawn. We are holding our breath and hoping for the best.

    Stay safe all.

My gym instructor has sent me an exercise class video to follow at home. How kind.

Bugger...not having twice a week workouts was the only positive for me. :(

Businesses should avoid unnecessary video calls they’ll break the inter-web

More important for families to “say hello to granny and grandad”

Tell em it’s your patriotic duty not to do video calls

    Info:
Age UK North South West Dorset have a Response Team available on the phone Mon-Fri 9-5 answering calls for assistance with Food shopping and Meds and utilising a growing army of volunteers to support older people and other vulnerable groups. If you or any friends or relatives need support call us on 01305 269 444

Anyone in BCP or East Dorset call Age UK Bournemouth 01202 530 530

Any other areas it’s worth checking if the local Age UK is doing the same

We are also getting info on many informal local support groups operating in the communities in Dorset

E.g. Crossways already has a group of 30+ Volunteers helping people and a local shop offering deliveries

Just a heads up, if you get a text from the Department of Health saying not to eat tinned pork because it contains COVID-19, ignore it. It’s spam.

Fran beat me to it, but I provided a link. :1980_boogie_down:

    Damn, so did Schad. <laugh>

I'm also not surprised. It may be a generalisation, but rich people, and people in high office are more mobile than poorer folks.
