Russian President Vladimir Putin has postponed a vote on constitutional change that would allow him to stay in power, because of coronavirus concerns. He said the public vote - previously due to be held on 22 April - would be delayed until a "later date". And then let out an evil laugh.
Not according to my manager, as my job is still there to be done, and not temporarily suspended. I am still waiting for a reply from my MP on this, as I have asked him to look into it. I am thinking about sending an email to my line manager, copying in the boss and regional director, to see if that has an impact, but not expecting to much to come of it.
Good luck mate! Have you copied the media on this? You may not want any publicity that might generate I can understand that.
Prick test for COVID19 antibodies are expected in days or weeks...government has said to have ordered millions. They will be available from Amazon and Boots. Tests still ongoing to test accuracy...obviously because a false test could be more dangerous than no test. It can be used to assess who can go back to work as they had the disease previously. Let's hope this isn't a false hope.
Excellent news. From what we have seen recently with the bog roll scramble and food hoarding there are plenty of pricks in this country, so hopefully there will be enough tests.
At least 3 weeks to late along with orders for respirators and PPE, UK had a chance to get ahead of the game. I have vulnerable friends and family, as many of us do, at greater risk due to the late response.
I just had his sausage last night. I do feel a little queer now. Hope I am not coming down with something.
We've been having an argument at work whether to authorise our limited PPE(single use, has to be disposed after) for trades to go out to a job for a NHS worker to do a serious but not emergency repair, or save it due to us running out (as its all be given to the NHS) and needing it for emergency repairs like flooded homes. Its like war time triage.
BBC news at headline story lack of PPE. The delay criminal neglect, bit strong maybe but given the head start wasted and previous pandemic exercises findings not implemented I'm a bit pissed off.
Not surprised are you. The NHS has been starved of resources and funding for many years but particularly the last ten or twelve.
No, not at all. the lack of prompt action brings back Thatcher ignoring warnings prior to the Argentinian invasion.
