Unless I have missed it, the money offered to support businesses doesn’t have any provisos like they do in other countries. We, as far as I am aware, are not making “no job losses/redundancies” a key commitment, from the businesses in order for them to receive the funding, whereas this is an integral part of the deal, in other countries. Is this the case, or have I missed this?
It’s almost entirely beneficial to the business rather than the employee, but even small businesses seem to be completely at sea as to how they access the cash.
'From business owner to prepper. He better hope the likes of me aren't rioting soon. I'm pretty ****ing annoyed tonight. Still searching solutions, but this looks bleak.' I'm going to pretend this is a facebook post.
So went to a supermarket today for the first time in a couple of weeks and remembered why I've been avoiding them. Absolute state of some people ffs. Embarrassing. Think I'll stick to the smaller shops or I'll likely end up getting myself knocked out. I've also done some nerve damage to my arm and can't source any painkillers. Well done Libby, that's ****ing impeccable timing
If you're anywhere near the corner shop where the Eagle pub used to be on Palmeston Rd, I managed to get my supply of Paracetamol there.
Tell me about it, I had to suffer chicken wings instead of legs yesterday and what a waste of money - no meat on them. Do people really eat those?
I was a bit shocked this morning in Sainsbury’s, where I had filled a basket (not a trolley) almost entirely with fresh fruit & veg, and as I started loading the conveyor belt the checkout lady said in a loud voice “Ooh look at you with all your vegetables!” Sorry for trying to eat a healthy diet everyone!
