I'm seeing a lot of reports of non compliance from a number of countries and sources. People behaving in whatever way suits their agenda. Selfish and arrogant to say the least.
Just come back from working in Poland & obviously on a 14 day quarantine. A colleague from Germany was with me also. His return requirement was to take a COVID test & upon neg result could return to normal (work). As of Sunday, COVID test no longer valid for return to work & they have to quarantine similar to UK but period was rather undefined; 7-10 days; much confusion, even in DE!
Will be very interested to know if you’re contacted at all during the 14 days by someone in authority to see that you’re keeping to the quarantine, as I’ve heard it doesn’t happen much.
I’m coming back to UK in December. Will be home quarantined until Christmas Eve at this point! Good excuse to not get any gifts for anyone! My wife did the trip in September and had no contact during quarantine. Her friends on the same trip didn’t have any check in either. I really doubt it happens much, if at all. When I go back to Kuwait in January I’m hoping I can work from home during 2 week quarantine. Here you have to get an app on your phone on arrival (they were doing bracelet gimmicks but I don’t think they do that now.) You have to post a selfie check in from home every day and the app pings to tell you when to do it. As far as I know it’s at a random time and you have to respond within a half hour or so or you’ll get it.
Apparently, just short of 20% of those known to have been infected, by the coronavirus, report mental health issues within 3 months. https://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2020-11-1...-receive-psychiatric-diagnosis-within-90-days
Try having a birthday today Richie...I'm on tablets so can't drink, birthday treat I'd planned can't happen because of lockdown and even shooting things in the back garden hurts because I screwed my shoulder up. On the plus side, I'm not dead yet
Many happy returns mate enjoy your day the best you can. I turned 50 in June, and it wasn’t quite what I hoped we would be doing......we went for a walk round the block, how exciting was that
54 today...going for a walk round the block later as I don't want to do all the good stuff at once. Rock and roll ain't it
We also had to cancel a holiday back in August, deferred it to March .....fingers crossed that goes ahead, that’s when we intend to celebrate my birthday properly. Even better is some good friends have now booked to come away with us.
Happy birthday, SC! Living the dream, eh? Have as good a one as you can, then really celebrate when all of this is over!
Happy Birthday SC! Just remember what Bryant McGill wrote: “Instant gratification is a dream killer.” Have a good day anyway!
My daughter bought me some exploding airgun targets, so I might go and test them later. Whole day to myself so plenty to keep me occupied Mrs SC turns 50 next year, and sprogglet #4 turns 18 so we might try and do something more interesting then.
Love it. May I also say to the USA...wake the **** up and stop this "fraud", "Steal" crap and get on with tackling the 1500 people a DAY dying and the 150,000 people a DAY testing positive. Mr Chump, get over it and move on.
