The government is encouraging you to report your neighbours if they don’t follow the new rules. Before following this advice you should really consider the fact the government won’t be there to help you jump start your car or lend you tools or a cup of sugar if you needed it. They won’t be an extra set of eyes to watch over your property if you are away. They won’t keep an eye on your kids if they are playing in the street and someone strange is hanging around. We need each other, it’s how we get by and live in peace, because at the end of the day the government won’t be standing on your door step to help you out when this gets real.

Fortunately, I hate my neighbours so I can and will shop them. They have destroyed our property on a number of occasions (had a party and their guests were urinating in our garden and trying to pull down a tree) and we have had the Police called for racist comments from them.

Can't wait for them to do wrong to be fair.

I also think I will be the hero of the cul-de-sac if I do :)

EDIT: Though I get your point

Nigel Pearson was talking on Sky about developing heart problems and having trouble walking due to Covid. Apparently ill for months :( A nothing illness for many, but we mustn't forget that many develop Long Covid.

A friend of mine in his 70s got the virus in March. He still looks and sounds noticeably depleted, and has now been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, which may or may not be related.

It can really do a number on you if you’re unlucky. But so can all sorts of other conditions - there’s no point worrying about it imo, better to take every day as it comes and be grateful for what you have.

I have been feeling really rough this past week and when I found out my son has Covid I thought I had better get tested. I thought I had it earlier in the year but it must have been flu or something. I have a lot of the symptoms but no fever or hacking cough. I got tested at the Southampton Airport test centre. What a thankless job those poor guys and girls have, and I doubt they get much of an hourly rate for doing such an awful job. They were all really nice and polite and even managed to smile.

The test results came back that I am positive, which I guessed might be the case. I'm not feeling too bad, just ache all over, have a constant headache and I'm finding it hard to get much air in my lungs. Thankfully I have Ventolin and a nebuliser so I should be fine, but I can see how it could be quite frightening for less fit and able folk.

After last nights football and reading all the great posts on here I am now feeling doubly positive. Life is pretty good right now and I plan on making the most of this strange but wonderful feeling of us being an exciting team again.

Don't want to upset Kaito (with him being ill and all that :bandit:), but should we allow him to post on the forum...or do you think regular washing of the keyboard is sufficient?

So then....they are playing into my hands. What would you do. It is 7pm and there are an extra 8 cars outside as it is one of the two daughters 30th birthday today (I know as the postie delivered her cards to us today by mistake - I didn't open them but when I took them round they said "oh yes it is Nikki's 30th today".

We now talk, but will never be friends and they have at least 15 extra people round for a party. Is is 'Grassing' or just being a good citizen. Bear in mind these are the neighbours whose guests urinated on our house when we were on holiday and it was caught on camera - the guy pissing when told you cant piss there replied "Oh i can as it is only a Paki house"

Karma or grassing. Or let someone else in the cup-de-sac call?

Only grass on them if you want the relationship to deteriorate and you can live with that. Leading a harmonious life with your neighbours is important for your own health and well being.

Their answer to me was "well it wasn't us, we didn't say it". My answer was that I was away on holiday, so how would a random person who went to your house for the first time wonder about the ethnicity of the neighbour unless something was mentioned. Police were involved and I didn't take it any further as I didn't want them to potentially lose their jobs over it and they 'seemed' mortified.
