Which presumably means the government expects some industries - I’m guessing pubs and restaurants - to be shut down for months yet. Rishi Sunak hasn’t put a foot wrong yet, unlike his boss and every single one of his colleagues. That October date is even more of a worry for that reason really.
Or you can just pretend that the mate who comes to visit is the cleaner and another great big hole blown in the procedures. It’s just, literally, opening doors for the system to be abused
Often things they are considering are 'leaked' in advance, to gauge public reaction to the 'hypothetical situation. Positive reaction = 'oh well, it leaked in advance but today I can announce that..... Negative reaction = 'That is just fake news, not our policy at all. In fact here's what we'll actually be doing'
I would urge everyone to watch (who already hasn’t) Hospital on BBC 2, (on i player from tomorrow) about the frontline fight against covid 19. It’s a 2 part documentary at the Royal free hospital about from day 1 lockdown, showing the real story of covid 19.
New cases of Coronavirus has tripled in Germany, since easing the lockdown. How much would it rise in a country that doesn’t test as many people as they do, before it getting noticed?
Talking about repatriation........we have had 5 flights cancelled to fly home to the UK from Australia. We have booked a 6th for next week then heard the news Qantas stopping repatriation flights we think from the end of May.!!!, luckily we didn’t book with them. By the way the single fare cost one way was over £1000 pounds each.!! Not cheap
That's a bit of a bugger Beds, hope you get sorted. It looks safer there than UK/Europe. I'd be concerned about crowded planes as has been reported. I expect you read davecg69's posts re his return from SA where it appears there's more profit in moving goods than people including PPE UK to SA.

I try to verify what I post and what I read this a good guide. https://fullfact.org/health/how-to-fact-check-coronavirus/ and this https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/daily-express/ plus https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/daily-mail/ " Overall, we rate the Daily Express Right Biased based on editorial content and Mixed for factual reporting due to publishing conspiracies & pseudoscience as well as a few failed fact checks. Overall, we rate Daily Mail Questionable due to numerous failed fact checks and poor sourcing of information.
