IMO, when it comes to supermarkets, I think there should be a 'golden hour' for elderly and vulnerable and then a priority system for just, NHS, care workers, paramedics, Firefighters and Police (sorry SS ;) ).

Other than that everyone else can queue. Even the other 'key workers' that are at work all day. Non key workers luckily enough to still be working have to queue around their work hours so should others that aren't completely on the front line and risking their lives for the rest of us.

Just IMO though and not right or wrong.

Must be a conflict of interests there. Need to do a fact check before sharing.

Cummings wife is Mary nee Wakefield, from Wiki.

"In December 2011, Cummings married Mary Wakefield, sister of his friend Jack Wakefield,[59] former director of the Firtash Foundation.[60] Mary Wakefield has worked at the weekly magazine The Spectator for decades, since Boris Johnson was editor, and is now commissioning editor. She is the daughter of Sir Humphry Wakefield, of Chillingham Castle in Northumberland."

I know this should be on the politics thread, but there are many fine people out there who vote Tory, but possibly were taking little notice of what has been coming out of Central Office, policy wise. For them it is a tradition. As it was in the Northern Heartlands to vote Labour until they swallowed hook, line and sinker, "Get Brexit Done." Personally, I prefer Tony Blair's "Education, Education, Education."

I'm sorry, but I won't be downloading a government app - developed by the team behind Vote Leave and which has failed several key tests - to enable the tracking of movement and creation of a central database of who you came into contact with, where and when.

    Even more reason...

Just been speaking to my doctor, about various things and she said that Southampton General has had NO weekend admissions for people suffering from heart attacks or strokes.
On the surface, this is something to cheer about.
However, the medical concern is that people who may have suffered milder cases, of the above, have stayed away from the hospital, for fear of catching covid-19, and have gone undiagnosed and untreated.

Edit. Forgot to add that it is NO weekend admissions for heart attacks or strokes over THREE weekends.

Unfortunately, the app is a great idea...if done correctly.

Corporate IT security is in my remit and the words "wouldn't touch", "with" and "barge pole" spring to mind with this app.

    Dear Deirdre ,

    So then, what to do.

Mrs No7 & I have same FB account, but one of her 'friends' is spouting total BS about COVID19 is actually the govt covering up 5G.........

I am about to either ridicule her totally or unfriend her (& Mrs No7 loses a mate).

She has also been going on about how the govt are purposely locking us down and infringing her liberty.

    Fruitcake to me.

Finding it very hard to step back and stand away from the keyboard as it isn't a one off, but being going on for about a week......

To keep the peace, remain friends on Facebook but unfollow the fruitcake.
Then everything she posts won’t show on your timeline.
That’s what I do to my wife’s auntie , she is always spouting religious drivel <laugh>
