Serious question for all on here, how many have been impacted by the virus in any way?

Myself, i don't do international travel so no impact (i accept it has had an impact on many), masks i wore them when required (shops at the start) no biggie, 8 weeks paid holiday at the start (great), never ever taken a test or been asked if i am "jabbed", spend 5 days a week travelling all around the North West to many many companies and nothing has changed, eat out when i want and go for a beer with mates when i want, visit whoever i want (or they visit me).
What are people whinging about, what freedoms have they lost?

 

No idea, mate.

I also go and do what I want. Work is going fine and I travel to the North West occasionally. I'm going there in a couple weeks, tbh. I go to the footy and I've never been asked if I'm jabbed or anything like that. I go to the social club once a week with my youngest brother for a couple jars and a game of snooker.

I don't think there's any restrictions at all in England and hasn't been for ages. The lockdown era seems a mere blip and distant memory to me, everything returned to normal a long time ago.

I could be wrong but I think the Jocks are still forced to do certain things and show passes to get in places but that's devolution for ya

 

In 2020, most people, myself included, were prepared to adhere to the government diktats as there was little evidence and few facts on which to base non compliance.

The low vaccination rate in some areas of Germany (mostly the former East Germany) is largely academic since being vaccinated does not stop a person being a carrier; but does afford them better protection against severe illness and hospitalisation. Most Germans had the mRNA vaccines produced by Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna that the evidence would appear to suggest have less efficacy than the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine that their government rubbished out of Brexit spite.

The fact that (theoretically) high quality masks are being worn (not the largely useless plastic or cloth ones seen over here) and rates are still climbing does mean that there is no evidence to support the mandatory wearing of masks as an effective measure.

We are no longer in the EU but it seems that the European Convention on Human Rights can be ignored in Austria, Greece and the Netherlands as the governments openly discriminate against the unvaccinated, while the Brussels Politburo turns a blind eye.

Making people wear masks when in shops but allowing people to go mask free elsewhere (like major sporting events) does indicate that this is a pointless measure by a Prime Minister who has lost the plot. So 2 + 2 definitely is 4, based on available evidence and known facts. Perhaps you prefer the conspiracy theories peddled on social media and repeated on here by the brain dead.
