Really serious sh@t eh.....I just hope that the establishment Republicans can keep him in check............... I really worry about his foreign policy.. if you can call it that......
Yikes! Trump suggested earlier this week that he could solve golf’s so called "civil war", saying on Bill Belichick's Let's Go podcast it would only take him "the better part of 15 minutes to get that deal done"
There must be some intelligent people on the other side of the Atlantic BB. like in Mexico or Canada !! Seriously though the USA is more divided now than at any time since Gettysburg - In fact the right wing republican senator Majorie Taylor Greene has called for a national divorce between the''red'' states and the blue ones. According to opinion polls a quarter of all Americans now think that their state should break away from the Union. The polarization of opinion between areas of the USA has become so extreme with both sides thinking that the other side means the end of the World - and this in a country which is so heavily armed. It really has become the Disunited States.
There must be something in the name United, as there is not a lot of unity in the UK. Of course, those in the States advocating separatism will not be interested in seeing the disaster that has taken place in the UK since it chose to go down that road. All those uneducated farmers, many years ago, worked out that Coops were a benefit to them.
It was said a little bit tongue-in-cheek - but when you think that the US has a population of 300+ million, admittedly of whom a mere 180 million are registered to vote, and Trump is the best they can come up with, you have to question the level of intelligence there. Mind you, when you consider the main leadership options in England - Starmer, Badenoch and Farage - the Yanks are probably saying much the same thing.
This is becoming ridiculous. A scheme that was supposed to make life easier for traders to and from the EU from the start of this month has been put on hold again because it doesn't work. £349M to date, and then there is a loss to the revenue of £866M over the next 10 years. The whole scheme could be scrapped because of cost, but is now not going to happen until April 2026 at the earliest. Quite how the EU version has worked for four years now is beyond me.
Just an aside point here, California alone would have the sixth strongest economy in the World. The Yes California movement has the support of about a third of the population there and this can only rise with Trump in the White House.
He is going to do some crazy unexpected moves. Looks like he will have control of senate and congress too. Like Morena here. Both parties can do what they want with little resistance!!!!!
