My point is that Israel is built as a Jewish homeland and their response to the October 7th atrocity exceeds the religious "morality" upon which Judaism is founded: they've broken their own laws with a disproportionate response.
Unfortunately there are hawks in President Biden's military brass, and he needs to be seen to be acting tough. The Americans (have "god" on their side, hallelujah brothers!) are famous for their disproportionate military responses, which is why they so often lose: it galvanises their opposition.
The orange turd would probably have nuked somewhere by now!
The "West" isn't helping itself here. It's a mess. Everywhere is a bloody awful mess for no reason other than greed. And it is we the people who suffer.

The main difference is that I can criticize the USA to my hearts content without opening myself up to the charge of racism (general anti Yankeeism ?) whereas every hint of anti Zionism or criticism of Israel opens up the possibility of the charge of anti Semitism being used as a stick to beat you over the head with. For decades Israel has managed to deflect criticism in this way and many well meaning politicians (and others) have been professionally destroyed by it - Jeremy Corbyn and Ken Livingstone to name just a couple. Even artists such as Roger Waters have seen tours cancelled because of their sympathy for Palestine. Real anti Semitism is disgusting, but anti Zionism is just the natural feeling of support for the oppressed - in fact when Zionism first appeared as an idea most Jews were against it because it worked against their goal of integrating themselves and winning rights in their adopted countries (and the Zionists were against such integrative policies !) Many Jews today are anti Zionist regarding the idea of a palingenic state being based upon race as essentially Fascist. In 1947 an open letter was sent to the United States government discouraging cooperation with Zionism - it was signed by leading Jewish intellectuals living in America at the time and equated Zionism as being a form of Fascism - the two leading signatures were Hannah Arendt and Albert Einstein - were they anti Semites ?

Stop the world! The King has cancer. He was diagnosed at the end of last week, and his treatment has begun. As he is just an ordinary bloke like the rest of us, I wonder why he has such privileged treatment, while those who live in a downtown city of the UK can find, they will wait for the NHS to fit them in for their treatment, sometimes for months. I am not saying he shouldn't get the best treatment available, but that Joe Bloggs from Clapham is just as important, and deserves the same. I wish him well, in the same way I wish every single sufferer well, and my best mate is among them. It is time for the NHS to get some of the funding that could make a difference for the commoner, rather than the government handing out profits for their mates in the private sector.

Genuinely one of the nicest people on Twitter. He spends his days wishing happy birthday/condolences to random people, mocking MAGA and posting messages of support for Ukraine. A hero of mine.

What strange times we are living in.

A US ex President losing his battles in the courts as he is shown up to be a fraudster on a grand scale, He faces criminal charges in the weeks ahead, yet there are still people who would have him back in the White House.

In Russia, Putin continues to regard human life as secondary to his own position as head of the country. With so many of his own people being sent to their deaths in Ukraine, you might have expected an uprising, but he has built a ring of fear that prevents dissent.

In the UK people are showing that the government is unable to govern for them, and want it gone. In Wellingborough a recall of the sitting MP brought about the disastrous result for them, yet there is no such mechanism to remove an entire government. You only have to listen to former government ministers such as Ken Clarke and John Gummer, both who now sit in the Lords, tearing into the party that they once supported, to realize that this is now a party that is following a similar path of deception to that of Trump.

Rather alarming if true - with Netanyahu as director, an Israeli company has control of the Home Office, MoD, Foreign Office and NHS data - all stored in a cloud. The Tories are selling Britain out to Israel - and even a general election won't change that as Starmer's Labour are just as bad.

I have watched the goings-on in Westminster for a long time, and have never seen such goings-on as I witnessed today. The SNP wanted a debate on stopping the killing in Gaza, but both Labour and Tories wanted the motion altered in minor ways. This is one of the most pressing issues in the world today, yet somehow it descended into a matter of Commons procedure. The scenes were more akin to what you might see in a kindergarten, with MP's walking out when they didn't get their own way. They cost enough with salary, expense and plenty of other perks, yet cannot do the right thing, and express the views of the people who put them there.
The sooner an election comes, and the population can judge what their MP has been doing for them, the better. It is so very sad.

That ridiculous farce was all engineered by Hoyle and Starmer - simply to stop rebel Labour MPs from voting for the SNP's motion, which plenty of them planned to do. Known as the Bain Principle - Labour MSPs refuse to vote for anything proposed by the SNP, no matter if they agree with it. They either vote against or abstain - and this time, their actions meant that the SNP MPs couldn't even get to vote on their own motion.
Two good things may come out of it though - the whole population of Scotland could see Labour for the charlatans that they are, so more voters will turn away from them - and there's a strong rumour doing the rounds that Hoyle's days as Speaker are numbered. Which can only be a good thing - if anyone was ever 'not fit for office' it was him.

Unbelievable words from a rabid Zionist - they must surely reflect badly on the government who appointed her beyond her pay grade and to the voters who elected her.
