Harriet Harman properly handed smugg-git his arse. Silver salver, ribbon, and a healthy side of mustard. I absolutely beyond despise those tories who've been in "government" over the past 13 years as well as those enablers.

Up sticks, go where the pay and conditions are better, and leave £100,000 of student debt behind. What is there not to like in that?
I did exactly that (albeit leaving behind a smaller student debt) when I left Queensland to come to Scotland to teach. Somewhat ironically though, a couple of years after leaving, teachers there were awarded a rather large pay rise. Had I stayed, I would now be classified as a Senior Teacher - on an annual salary £15K greater than the equivalent here, or £18K greater than the equivalent in England. So I can't blame doctors etc for doing it, but the numbers planning to do it suggest a catastrophic time ahead for the NHS - which, I suppose, fits in nicely with Tory plans for healthcare in the UK.
Recently-knighted-by-Bojo Tory MP Ben Elliott accused of conflict of interest after helping arrange a Tory fundraiser. Of more interest though is that someone saw fit to pay£35K for an hour of cricket with Rishi Sunak. No surprise that Sunak plays cricket I suppose, given his heritage - but I'm just wondering what his favourite position is. Especially as Rwanda gets to send some of their migrants here at the same time. Doubtless there's a Tory making a fortune out of all this.
The Haunted Pencil and Mad Nads likely to be mentioned in contempts of parliament report. Popcorn time methinks... https://www.theguardian.com/politic...ies-contempts-parliament-report-boris-johnson
The report is highly critical of named MPs and Lords, and leaves it to the Commons to decide what action to take. Meanwhile, last night Peers blocked the government's immigration bill with amendments, and today the Court of Appeal has ruled it to be unlawful. Then there is the unfolding story about the state of the water companies in England and Wales. It looks as though taxpayers could be asked to bale out the shareholders, who in the main are foreign companies. Just what is the government getting right?
I don't know how many last straws this government are entitled to, but that would surely be the last one? Thames Water are reportedly £14bn in debt, but they somehow managed to pay out dividends of £1.4bn to shareholders last year - and the CEO, who recently resigned, doubled her pay this year in spite of being forced to give up her 'bonus'. I'm sure that not long ago they announced a ten year surcharge on customer bills to pay for necessary infrastructure repairs - I simply can't see the rest of the country being happy about having to chip in too - especially here in Scotland where water is nationalised.
