Not just the elderly... Just when you think that they couldn't get any worse, along comes another despicable act.
Who actually has photos of them sitting with their lines of cocaine ready for a quick snort? Seems that Tory MP David Warburton does. Maybe a photo of him naked with one of the three ladies he has allegedly sexually assaulted would have been one step too far for the voters in Somerset. Russian loans or bribes undisclosed, introductions for Rees Mogg to Roman Joukovski whose company specialised in off-shore wealth and “golden visas” for oligarchs - but went into administration last year after FCA banned it from regulated activity, saying it had acted “dishonestly or recklessly”. All a bit too much for the blue rinses, so he has been suspended by the party. please log in to view this image
The Tory bots are out in force today saying that this was nothing, and everyone should move on. It is a concerted attempt to save Johnson's face and cover up the fact he lied to Parliament. Mogg on LBC saying that civil servants gave Johnson the wrong information, so they are to blame. Trestle tables in the garden with food and drinks that the PM admitted to seeing, but didn't realise it wasn't a work meeting. For some reason I am drawn to the mad hatters tea party.
I'm beginning to think that prison isn't punishment enough for these shysters let alone these paltry fines.
Today via the wonders of the internet I was able to view my cousins funeral. It was organised by my cousin's son who had received calls and e-mails from around thirty people saying that although they wished to be there they had covid, and wouldn't want to pass it to others. Yesterday the son tested positive, so didn't attend. With the news that flights are cancelled, terminals in chaos, just who thinks that living with it, that could be described as ignoring it, is a good idea. My daughter's father-in-law now has it, and no vaccinations. He has given it to his wife, son and two grandchildren. The spread over the past few weeks is alarming. Meanwhile in the UK, almost 5m Covid shots have been thrown away, according to an official report. It estimates that the cost of the wasted jabs could be as much as £70.5m, according to the National Audit Office (NAO). Just how competent is the government?
Our daughter and her daughter and husband all have it... again...and we are not supposed even to be testing for it now... totally crazy
On 17th Dec, Johnson called a Cobra meeting due to "a rising wave" of Covid. On that date, there were 879 hospital admissions (970, 7 day ave). Latest data from 29th March, there were 2,480 hospital admissions, along with chaos in schools and airports due to rising cases. Govt response? Holidays!
Although I've been frequently referring to them as incompetent, I don't really think that is the case. Evil, corrupt and self-serving are more fitting descriptors. They've been planning this for nearly three decades and everything is now falling into place for them.
My goddaughter's mother has got it a second time having already been suffering with long Covid and her hubby is also quite poorly with it. My goddaughter tested positive on Saturday morning and sounded proper rough on the phone last night, her partner diagnosed yesterday morning. Mrs Fez and I tested every day following our jaunt to Greenwich and mixing with the rush hour commuters and followed up on Thursday night playing darts in a somewhat snug pub. So far so good as of this morning at least. I still haven't seen my mother at her care home. End of November. Various staff have had it, each time results in a two week lockdown and only the primary visitor (my sister, who lives in the same town) if anyone is allowed to visit at all. All rather frustrating.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System, revealed that almost every hospital in the two counties is full. Earlier on Wednesday South Central Ambulance Service, which covers 7 mill people across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Sussex, Surrey, declared a critical incident after “extreme pressures” forced it to prioritise patients with life-threatening illnesses. At the same time, six hospitals across Yorkshire issued a joint warning for people to stay away from emergency departments except for in “genuine, life-threatening situations” after a surge in numbers left some patients waiting for up to 12 hours. With nearly 20,000 people in hospital with coronavirus in England, these latest critical incidents highlight how once again the pressure on our health service is mounting. So things are in a state of near collapse again, made worse by the numbers of staff who are ill and off work. Is this the price of freedom to do what you want PM?
There were 20398 people in hospital yesterday with Covid. The highest figure for 13 months. In the last 24 hours 50202 new cases were recorded and 368 more deaths.
It's not just Health that is in trouble under the Tories - Education is too. April's TES Magazine includes the following articles: *GCSE's 2022: crisis fears over invigilator shortage; *Secondary school teacher vacancies at a five year high; *Headteacher vacancies nearly a fifth higher than pre-Covid; *Ofsted highlights supply teacher and catch-up tutor shortage; *Covid: pupil absence more than triples in two weeks; *Unions: scrapping Covid testing "reckless in the extreme"; *School workforce down by 9%. And they have the hide to lie in parliament about Scotland's Education system.
BREAKING: Spain tells unvaccinated British tourists they are not welcome after rapid U-turn: The Spanish tourist board in London has reversed its decision to open up the country to unvaccinated British travellers.
A friend of mine who is Deputy Head of a primary school said they were paying £235 per day for supply.
Education has rightly been seen as a means of progressing a country, which is why most are prepared to spend large sums of taxpayers money on it. With the current system in the UK it is now seen as a profit making operation for some. The local authorities that once had a department that had a knowledge of the schools in their area have largely been stripped of finance, and have become side players in many counties. Quite why the public schools such as Winchester or Eton are given charitable status has never been explained. It seems that they by being charities can reclaim VAT whilst the rest cannot, and they really need it.
