Wait until they find out that the groundwork for said English vaccine was actually done in a Scottish University before being taken to Oxford...
Gavin Williamson turned down an offer to get free or cheap broadband for thousands of disadvantaged families, the Mirror has learned. Broadband giant BT offered to supply families basic connections to allow children to access online learning with schools closed for months during the Covid-19 pandemic. ....... as early as spring 2020 BT asked the Department for Education to identify families who needed access to the internet, offering to provide them as a “priority” and at cost-price. But in a letter to campaigning MP Sarah Owen, the CEO of BT's consumer brands, Marc Allera said the Department had "declined" the offer.
Sean Dyche feels footballers ought to get vaccinated so any money spent on their testing can be put back into the NHS.
Probably the wrong thread for this because it does have to do with football and Covid 19. According to the latest update the Southern League will not be resuming until after Saturday the 6th of March. It appears that the possible bankruptcy of clubs like Taunton, Farnborough or Kings Langley is of no importance but the elite of football must continue They will never realize that clubs at that level are more important to English football than the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd or even the Hornets.
There is so much mixed messaging going on about what is allowable and what is not, it is no wonder that some people are confused. Drive five miles to go to a deserted area and you get fined because it is not local. Take a cup of tea with you and it is a picnic, yet coffee shops are open to sell them, meaning that buying one is against the rules. So now we find out that Johnson is spotted along with all of his security men going for a cycle ride seven miles away from home. Is he confused like others, or doesn't believe that any rules apply to him?
So in theory, does that mean Watford do not qualify to be classed as an English Championship club as over half of their first-team squad is not English? Just a thought
Well, we're a Championship club based in England but the strings are pulled in Italy Actually the BionTech vaccine is probably Turkish (as opposed to German).

It is to replace the £30 vouchers that were given out in the first wave of the virus. Various people have costed it at retail prices of between £5 and £9 depending on which supermarket is used. If £30 is still being handed over for this, questions need to be asked.
Supermarkets going to enforce wearing masks in their stores.. But will that work or are people just going to come up with excuses as to why they cannot wear one? Already complaints about it being unfair and discriminatory on Twitter etc .
Reports tonight that GPs are ready and willing to vaccinate but are not getting supplies. No one seems to know if it is a manufacturing problem, a batch testing one, or distribution failures.
More 'contract corruption' revealed? This time around the provision of school laptops. https://bylinetimes.com/2021/01/08/new-100-million-deals-school-laptops-awarded-tory-donors-firm/
Military helicopters could be used within days to airlift coronavirus patients from the Isle of Wight, the island’s medical director has said, after an “astronomical” rise in infections fuelled by mixing and visitors over Christmas. A 74-fold increase in cases means the Isle of Wight has the 13th highest infection rate in the UK this week, from having one of the lowest in early December. It doesn't look as though Christmas 2020 was a good idea PM.
Yes, I find it difficult to find sympathy for people who voted putting self-gain above the countries’ best interests (which extended beyond economic interests) and are now discovering they were lied to.
At least that won't be a problem in France , if only 46% take up the vaccine (as reported in surveys apparently). The effect on quelling the virus will be instructive. Maybe it will be sufficient. There again...
It depends if it's the right 46% Bodbo. Most Western countries are working on the principle of vaccinating the old and the vulnerable first together with health care workers. If you want to really help in gaining herd immunity it might be more effective to vaccinate those who are most active in the herd first ie. those of working age.
