Exactly - there won't be a rush from the Government to go back to normality. Not until the virus is contained.
Seems like July 1st is the end date teams want. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/...planit&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_content=22278 We'll probably still be in lockdown of sorts in May so really its June or nothing.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, public gatherings are prohibited in Germany until August 31. If the Bundesliga is resumed before this date, it will take place behind closed doors. Fans of German clubs will have to take their troubles patiently. Their return to the stadiums is not for tomorrow. As Emmanuel Macron did a few days ago in France, the German state has spoken out on cultural or sporting gatherings with the public. After consultation between Chancellor Angela Merkel and 16 of her ministers, it has been decided that demonstrations of this type will remain prohibited until August 31. Caution is advised in order to combat the spread of the coronavirus. Taken from French news.
This could prove difficult stopping all first of May demonstrations ! It appears unlikely that the Bundesliga will resume behind closed doors and i think the season will be declared null and void. Apparantly some classes in some schools could be starting again on May 4th - individual states have a certain leaway on this because of different exam times in different areas. Some smaller shops can open next week but the laws on social distancing have to be upheld within them, with the wearing of masks encouraged but not compulsory. All other rules on social distancing remain in place until May 3rd. Restaurants and bars remain closed (will any actually survive this ?).
The putting on of the wrestler’s mask is all part of the story of the game though. They were so certain they would win, it makes the comeback so much more enjoyable.

As you were really: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52326617 No return date set naturally but all keen to finish season.
The only time in his entire career when he didn't bite someones leg off was in the World Cup qualifier again Poland in 1973 and we conceded a goal but it was the Polish keeper that stopped us winning that game around 4 - 1
Play games behind closed doors sounds simple, but this article shows that it isn't. https://www.espn.co.uk/football/eng...here-how-many-people-would-have-to-be-present
It beats me why any EPL player would balk at getting a pay cut or going without pay for a few months. Most of them earn in a week what many would scrape together over a year or more.
May need cologne to confirm this, but it looks like the Bundesliga will be starting back on 9th May - behind closed doors.
Markus Söder, who is the minister president of Bavaria, and also federal health minister has suggested it may be possible and has named May 9th as the earliest possible date. However, there is also opposition to this within the government. Firstly there is the question of preventing large groups of fans from gathering at alternative venues - the second is whether it is justifiable to test all players, and all the other 200 or so people who have to be present within the stadium, when testing kits are badly needed elsewhere. There is also the problem that if you allow it for football then other sports will want the same.
