Not getting political here - but I listened to a press conference by Nicola Sturgeon earlier this afternoon, in which she admitted that the football season in Scotland is over. I can't find any reference online to any subsequent Scottish FA decisions, but the thinking here is that the current tables will be the final tables - Celtic SPL champions and Hearts relegated, which, to be honest, is probably how it would have ended anyway.

Don't tell anyone, or the wine will meet the same fate as the loo paper.

Looks like I am in lock down. From midday tomorrow I am only allowed to go to the food shops or chemist under risk of penalties, I assume fines. The French borders are closed to non-EU citizens, the second round of elections and pension reforms are postponed. The huge difference between what will happen here and the UK is that many practical issues are being dealt with. Electricity and gas bills that cannot be paid because people are not working will not result in the supply being cut. If your bar is shut you will be able to claim for loss of earnings based on your tax returns. The French army will be called upon to set up field hospitals in an area like Alsace that has a larger number of people suffering from the virus. The French news I have just watched has just been showing the Boris in his news conference, and cannot believe the lack of detail. As we have heard from what Trump has said he is learning from other countries, and even he now seems to accept this is not just a dose of flu.

It seems that if I had a dog I would be allowed to walk it once a day. Twice a day and I could face a €38 fine. Think there is an opening here for disposable dog nappies, although they do exist. Sounds that if I wish to go and get some bread I might have to download a certificate to say what I am doing. <yikes>

I will await the details, but according to French news and the interior Minister, all gas, electricity, water and rent bills are to be suspended as that is the simple way to help people who might not be able to pay if they are out of work. No trying to convince an official that you cannot pay, just keep it simple and stop the bills. I suppose you could do it in the UK, but many of these services are now owned by foreign companies, and without the government saying you must do it, would they do it on a voluntary basis?

I hope that they are all ok duggie. Somehow football seems to be sinking into the background. Trump says that gatherings of 10 people is the maximum. That would knock footie on the head.

Read restrictive plans could be in place for 18 months!

Probably worse case situation but still alarming.
