This is really annoying me now...

Covid-19: Gove 'confident' schools can reopen in England

Give it up man for pity's sake!
Youngsters are spreading this new more infectious variant of Coronavirus all over the place.
I know their education is going to be damaged if they can't go to school in January or February.
But the NHS is almost at breaking point.

CLOSE THE F**KING SCHOOLS for six weeks and save maybe 10,000 lives!
Stop clinging on to this political point you insist on making, in defience of all common sense.

Trump blinked overnight and signed the US Coronavirus Aid Bill.

Good news for the millions of Americans who need the money they were about to be denied.
Seem the outgoing Prez only wanted to bluster about the parts of the bill he personally didn't like, even though both Parties in Congress had approved it after months of negotiations and compromise.

Hospital admissions for Coronavirus patients in England is now at its highest rate ever.
Higher than the first wave back in late March.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-55462701

For pity's sake, don't gather to celebrate New Year.
    And close the schools.
In fact, close all non-essential businesses. Empty public transport as much as possible.
We must have a virtually total lockdown for a minimum of 6 weeks.

It's funny you should say that.
I sent a text to @The Punter’s Pal telling him of the situation.
The next day he was calling me all the names under sun, I questioned this, to which he said "You little c*** I went in with a wristwatch and came out with £10"<laugh>

    Interesting report from Spain;

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-55471282

They are going to keep a registry of all citizens who refuse to be vaccinated against Coronavirus.

Under normal circumstances I would be very concerned about a move like this, from the point of view of civil liberties.
A 'registry' can easily become a black list.
And black lists can be abused as political climates change.

But short of making the vaccination compulsory, I reluctantly admit such a measure is necessary in the state of things we find ourselves in.
Thousands dying every week. Hospitals at breaking point.
This is a Global Emergency. Action is needed to save lives, not pussying out to keep a bunch of liberties protesters happy.
Anybody who puts their own misguided fears about a vaccine above those realities is hurting the society they live in. The society they expect to protect them and their rights.

I don't think Boris (a liberal at heart) will adopt this arguably draconian measure here in the UK.
But I would not mind if he did.

People must not be allowed to think that refusing a vaccination has no consequences for them personally.

I just heard on the BBC news this morning that the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Greenwich declared an 'incident' yesterday, regarding Coronavirus patient admissions.
This is code for a warning that they won't be able to cope much longer unless they get help.

    Shame on any British backpackers who were part of this disgraceful display;

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-55471235

I think the Australian Government is right to consider deporting them.
Don't let them back either - ban them for 20 years.
If that's what it takes for some brainless chumps to wake up to how serious the pandemic situation is, then so be it.

    Another case of blatant disregard.
Perhaps these idiots need to catch a dose of the virus to buck their ideas up.

The Daily Mail reporting that children being kept out of school till February will hurt their futures. F*** them, how about the IMMEDIATE futures of people at risk because of these pricks not wearing a covering and going to parties around the country?
