I read the comments about the thousands that could die but how many will die because the country will be in ruins?

The average age of death is 82.

Over 99% survive it.

I don't want to see anyone die but if you're Inna vulnerable group you need to keep yourself safe and you need to ensure that those you interact with are mindful of your vulnerability.

It is like saying that an old person is vulnerable crossing the road so no one can cross the road plus, no one is allowed to drive a car.

There is no magic money tree. All these payments have to be paid back and the national debt will mean we can't afford many, many public services.

Don't watch the **** the media is selling you, they need headlines. Do your own research and you won't be as terrified of living your life.

Life needs to go on!
You’re obviously not a health worker either <yikes>

It's actually 95% survive based on UK figures, but still better than 1in10. So do you think that's a viable option?

No but I am a key worker. I deliver for a supermarket and have been the whole time.
I see how terrified people are of this disease every day.
I see people who haven't left their house since March. They're wasting what little time they have.

I spoke to a lady this week whose husband is in a care home. She would go in every day otherwise he wouldn't eat. When the lockdown hit they wouldn't let her in even though she lives alone and doesn't meet anyone. She was less of a risk than the nurses.
She showed me pictures of how gaunt he became before they relented and let her in to see him, in full PPE. He's now eating and much better.

That is why this is ridiculous. People need to take responsibility for their own welfare and not want it imposed on everyone.

If you want to stay at home fine, stay at home but it's killing the country to lock everything down.

I delivered to a woman yesterday dressed in a virtual hazmat suit.

I do know what I'm talking about because I have been working the whole time and I'm the only person some of these people see.

No I'm not a health worker. Would they work until 11pm on a Sunday for £10 an hour?

I have utmost respect for those that care for us when we are ill.

You're asking me if I think it's acceptable to let that 5% die?

No, it's not but it's a very targeted virus so if you are in a vulnerable group then you should shield.

That isn't my point. My point is that why should everyone have to lock down just because you need to?

It's not a "why not" choice because it is not sustainable. There isn't a never ending supply of cash.

The same kids who are missing their education and their growing up, their relationships, their life, will be paying this back for decades.

I don't think it's fair.

Last words on the matter , prob not <laugh>, easy enough sorting this to a satisfactory level, wear masks, stay two metres apart and ****in wash yourselves. If everyone does it virus will die. If 10% continue to do what they like it’ll never go away. Simple as that <ok> of course if you’re under 55 and have no elderly relatives you can do whatever you want, in your own mind

Sorry but my rant is not finished.

It is ridiculous that, from Thursday, I can still go to work in a very busy loading area with several drivers, loaders and shoppers moving in and out. It is impossible to social distance and no one wears a mask, but I can't play golf, even on my own.

I hear you say how reckless we are at work.

It's been exactly the same since March and one person has had to isolate. He didn't have any of the symptoms but his wife got a notification to isolate on her NHS app. It wasn't from work

We haven't had one case.

We haven't had 1 case.

That's why I don't get all the hysteria.

Sorry about the ranting but I feel very annoyed about it.

I live in a small country area. Population about 500. Three weeks ago local club won a relegation battle hurling match followed by two days celebrations. Week later I personally knew 15 people infected. That’s how quick it transmits

If they live to pay back what this costs, I think that's pretty fair. I think I'd rather live to pay than the alternative, wouldn't you?

The alternative?
If you're under 70 you're more likely to die from many other things than coronavirus, heart attack, cancer, the flu (which is why there is a flu jab) and countless other ailments. Children don't die from it, in fact they rarely even suffer symptoms.
Cut through the hysteria. You must watch too much TV.
If I was 84 and had underlying conditions I wouldn't want to spend the little time I had left imprisoned in my own house and I certainly wouldn't want the whole country imprisoned because something might affect me.

Those most at risk don't have to work so are well able to shield themselves.

But you are not 84 so not qualified to give their views.

People compare covid 19 to the flu. That's like comparing a water pistol to a mauser.
