Understanding data should mean government reacting, but in our case they seem to be doubling down on past mistakes so that when the results come out as not being so bad they can say, there you go our lockdowns worked.

I think the most concerning right now is hospital beds rather than the actual number of deaths, which although are rising, are doing so at a much lower rate than earlier in the year. We've seen a big rise in Leeds but it's still manageable at the moment. It's looking like they're a bit closer to capacity in Notingham, Liverpool and the North East
