My son-in-law works for St Gobain he is a problem solver for their glass division. Despite them supplying too many supply chain businesses to list he was put on Furlough last week as many of the businesses he visits were closing due to the outbreak.

He has been told many of those businesses are reopening next week, it’s a case of them reopening or going bust. This isn’t a is it right or wrong post, or money before life, just saying this is how it’s going to start to go with many finding a reason why they are important to the supply chain

On the German thing, it would appear they are far better prepared. Deaths 1612 compares to uk 5373, 28 deaths yesterday compared to 439. They have far more in icu but last week I h=eard their health guy explain that they have different ventilation equipment that most other countries don't yet have. They also have the capacity to test huge amounts and are even processing 2k tests per day for Ireland that we haven't capacity for

I think the thing is they took the advice of one group of scientists but it wasn't a consensus and the exchanges were heated - at least that's the review i read.

A client of mine is from Gothenburg had an interesting chat with her last week. They've are working from home if they can but are as a nation reasonably comfortable with the how it's being handled. Their health guy is a divisive figure but they're sticking with the herd strategy for now. I believe the deaths are largely in care homes, so they can't visit there - everything else is fair game

Whilst I agree footballers are well over paid I think it is harsh to make them the scapegoats. Yes they should do whatever they can to help their club save jobs but there are plenty of real rich barstewards who could help the NHS survive. Call her anything you like, but treasonable is one thing she most certainly is not! And she's not narrow-minded - more like single-minded, which is why she's been elected time after time for donkey's years. Can't understand why the english are so interested in her that they have to abuse her incessantly. Perhaps it's a measure of the great job she's doing.

Total rubbish, when the Brexit vote came out in favour of leave, she said that they required a separate one, that is treason of the highest order, and still an offence in which you can be hanged for. She was narrow minded over her fellow female medical rule breaking lock down stupid bitch, until she was advised to back off and tell her to resign/terminate the position.
One thing I can assure you of is that the majority of us English are not interested in her only when she opens that narrow little poison mouth of hers and shows disrespect to democracy and the realm, then she is open for much needed criticism.

I love it. She's really got under your skin, hasn't she? Hate to tell you but there is no death penalty for treason these days. That belongs in medieval times, just like your evident view on successful women. Alec Salmond was rarely criticised in such a way by the english for his work on the same mandate. Laughable bigotry.
