**** it.

On Sunday, we're getting up around 8.00, preparing and packing a picnic, getting in the car and sitting there for an hour, going to have the music on loud, whilst the kids argue in the back. Get back out, walk to the garden, have a kick about, game of swingball then eat the food, laze around for a couple of hours, back in car, same scenario, back out again, down the drive and back through front door. The normal sunny day, without the mileage.
It may not be much fun but you wont be adding to the pandemic. We know that the idiots who think it doesn't affect them will be out.

I'm worried that if we stay at home for too long without doing any work, we might all develope scouse accents :emoticon-0138-think

that’s a bit of an unfair regional stereotype, they’re not all workshy. It’s tough for the ones now forced to work from home. Imagine having to wake up every morning, brick your car up and Chuck a concrete block through your front window.

that’s better than the real thing - when they ask ‘are we there yet?’ You can answer yes for the whole journey. When one of them pisses themselves you can chuck them straight in the bath rather than stick the humming little monsters in the back of the car for an hour.

loving it, thanks for the tip

I have started saying ‘Ey! Ey!’ a lot recently.

And if I add a moustache and a wig I’ll look like Harry Enfield.

the fact all my neighbours cars are propped up on bricks with the wheels missing is purely coincidental.

Already telling people they won't be given a ventilator at some hospitals in the UK, my ex wife has a friend who has the virus and been told this, if she gets worse where she would normally need a ventilator, she will just be given morphine to help her suffering and left to it.

Numbers are rising dramatically for hospital admissions in Yorkshire and the North East, 35%, The Midlands 47%. Wonder if some of those filmed just going about their daily routines in Small Heath and Washwood Heath the other day are regretting their actions now.

Anyone not observing the lockdown in any country should be very ashamed

Maybe wales should give it a try for a few weeks and see how it all works our
They were quoting an article in the Times <ok>

I’m on another non sport forum and they have quite a broad spectrum of members and a lengthy discussion on Covid 19. They’re a bit more split than here, a clear 50/50 on lockdown and herd immunity and that’s where the link was posted.

I’m just trying to be realistic, how long can a lockdown last, not how long do we want but how long is feasible? I’m only using myself as an example but If my stepsons firm had to close and my son-in-laws I’ve no idea how they’d cope, they’d not keep their houses, they’d probably suffer waves of anxiety, the long term effects would be devastating. My stepsons wife is 2 months pregnant, they work together at the same company, it’s a horrible thought.

The government haven’t got a bottomless pit, the minute the lockdown is lifted infections will start again. Big companies can’t last past the summer, the government won’t be able to pump any further funds in for too much longer so realistically where does it end. It’s easy to say sit it out and if it takes until the end of the year fine but the reality is that isn’t going to be an option.

They cant get the testing done quick enough so forget a cure this year. I’m not trying to argue what I feel is right or wrong, just trying to be realistic that the economy will not permit for this to continue until the year end.

I agree we might not see another sporting event or concert this year but that alone won’t stop the spread, the true fact seems to be we’re all going to be exposed to this virus one day, there isn’t an escape from it.

Going back to company bosses, many are sitting on very healthy bank accounts of their own. Do they get to a stage where they cut their losses and enjoy living off what they have or do they try and weather this out and risk losing their own fortunes?

There isn’t any medical evidence that someone who’s been infected will be immune and can’t reinfect. Therefore a non runner at present

“The evidence is increasingly convincing that infection with SARS-CoV-2 leads to an antibody response that is protective. Most likely this protection is for life,” says Martin Hibberd at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. “Although we need more evidence to be sure of this, people who have recovered are unlikely to be infected with SARS-CoV-2 again.”

Like you said in another thread mate, I am not knocking anyone who believes the lockdown will remain in place for months but I'm convinced it will be lifted before we reach June
