Dinner was tip top!

All is serene in my household! We don't really argue or shout at each other but it's more the feeling of suffocation. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I get the same at Christmas when the weather is bad and I am locked in the house with them.

Hey, things could be alot worse in this situation. It's just a minor gripe! I'm gonna try and get out for a run tomorrow.

Belarus - No lock down, no precautions the president said you’re better dying on your feet than living on your knees, everyone should drink vodka and go to saunas

Just seen official orders for the following companies to make ventilators
Vauxhall and Airbus - 20,000
Rolls Royce - 14,000
Dyson - 12,000
Jaguar Land Rover - 10,000
Aston Martin - 8,000
Bentley - 6,000
Seems they are expecting a tsunami of cases in coming weeks

If they kept us in lock down or increased the lock down measures would the NHS cope? I honestly don't know the answer to that one... With field hospitals nearing completion is this order in preperation to lift the lockdown in 2-3 weeks times and allow the virus to rip through those hopefully fit enough? I've been thinking about this, the lockdown is in place, how long can it remain in place, will the virus take hold again once the lockdown is lifted?

Good question.
Sadly i fear that it will rip through us despite lockdown!!

I see the lt gov of Texas seems to think all the old ****ers in the state would rather cop it than let the economy be laid to waste, wonder if he asked them!

it seems we’ve largely asked all those old exclusive public school boy brands to come to the rescue. To be fair i’d rather have a Bentley respirator than a dyson one. The dyson would be all funky coloured plastics but the battery would pack up after 10 minutes. The Bentley would have a lovely cow hide neck brace.

The rolls Royce merlin engines saw off the Luftwaffe in 1940 and now let’s hope they can build something to see off the Coronavirus 80 years later.

We need boris to get some jingoistic war speeches going like his hero Churchill. Been sadly lacking to date.

“we shall fight them with the beechams, we shall fight them with the lemsips, we shall fight them with the strepsils and the tunes. We shall never surrender”

So the government announces a £75 million initiative to fly home UK citizens who were too selfish or f***ing stupid to stay at home when all evidence pointed to that being the correct thing to do.

Should have just closed our borders a month (or maybe 2) ago to all but essential travel.

You really have to question why that didn't happen...

What's that I hear you say...yep still hasn't bloody happened has it.

Wondered about that too. Also the people stuck on the cruise at present. When did they leave? Must have been five weeks ago

The Government are paying for it because they didn't take the necessary steps to prevent unnecessary travel. If the government wasn't aware of the danger, how do you expect an individual to be aware?

What is going to be do with the £75 million worth of passengers when they arrive?
