Listened to Boris last night telling us that he's following the data so I looked at the data this morning.
As we know, deaths have dropped to virtually nothing so they're focusing on cases.
The summary says cases for the last 7 days are - 52076 - up 46% on the previous 7 days.
I clicked on the data and added together the last 7 days - 46883
It said cases were up 46% so I added up the previous 7 days to that - 40791

That looks like an increase of just over 15% and the figures have been inflated?

If they've updated the figures for the total in the summary then why not in the daily totals?

What am I missing?

As an aside, I heard something interesting yesterday. If this virus is so transmissible that we have to wear masks, avoid contact and clean our hands thoroughly, why do we need such an invasive test to determine if we're positive? Surely we just need to lick the stick?

Good news
The Chinkyflu has eradicated Hay fever along with the common cold and flu
So vaccinated shee ... sorry, ..people can go about their daily business as usual, doing what sage tell you to do that is,
Don't book an holiday abroad though you're not Presidents, Prime ministers, royalty or their hangers on, they're immune :emoticon-0105-wink:

I thought I was suffering from hay fever today as well! The hay fever advice is a bit contradictory with the covid advice-
"keeping windows and doors shut when possible"
"The NHS also recommends spending as much time as possible indoors and away from cut grass"

What if them covid particles start mixing with the pollen? I'm no expert so probably complete nonsense but could be a useful scare story.
