The people who will crowd the pubs the most, will be the ones who care the least about precautions and won't be giving a toss about spreading it again. From the start we've had to remember that no matter how careful we are, we are still to an extent reliant on others to be safe. I'll also be giving the pubs a swerve
People don't seem to realize the difference this virus is going to make to this country I reckon it will be 3 to 5 years before things are back to the way they were in March peoples attitudes have changed drastically.
I agree .... .... although table service, from your App, to the furthest corner of the beer garden, hmmm
There's no evidence that the Coronavirus spreads in pubs though according to Mr Martin so no risk anyway.
I am in exactly the same situation Smug. I had actually booked a trip back 2nd week of Easter hols - to help my daughter with my grandson as she had to work. But there no travel for me for a long time. In fact me & the missus will self-lockdown even after they say all clear. I fully expect a second wave. We are determined to keep on collecting our pensions
Anybody who has ever visited a pub in the north east knows when you go to the bog 1 in 10 washes their hands on the way out - lets say this covid-19 gets another 2 in 10 washing that's still 7 out of 10 dirty c**ts touching the door on the way out. Getting a dose of their bellend microbes is bad enough but a touch of corona is even worse - i'll stop in thanks Edit thank f**k I always bought hand sanitiser for when I went out
My son and I have been laughing at ourselves for years now when we realised we were doing the same thing. We 'Howard Hughes' our way in and out of pub toilets, etc. It may sound daft but it's become a bit of a game to always allow other people to open doors and touch handles.
Rule number one - don't touch the salted nuts at the pub buffet I learnt this after seeing someone dip his hand into the nuts at a darts match straight after he had been for a number 2 and I followed him out and he didn't wash his hands. Dirty ****
For years now I've always carried a couple of tissues in my pocket to use when opening bog doors when out and about especially so when in a pub for some lunch. The thing is though has the person who carried your plate of food to your table washed his/her hands after a piss/****/wiping their nose. I remember years ago working in York and me and my brother went to a chippy and this awful woman was serving and she had chewed her nails virtually all the way down and her hands were black off the newspaper ink, I just walked out. I always look at peoples hands when getting food or drink, if they are not spotless I'll go elsewhere.
My pet hates are when people lick their fingers to open a paper/ plastic bag, seen it happen often behind food/deli counters, the other one is taking money for payment and then handling food !
Really interesting subject this . Is it directly linked to poverty / standard of living . Or is it that some poverty is down to educational standards , and lower educational standards are linked to less use of sense with regard to understanding the danger . Is being poor an excuse for not doing the right thing . I’ll throw in - is there any evidence of a poorer quality diet making people more susceptible. I’m sure the researchers and sociologists are having a look
